Bethany Speedway starts 2021 season on May 22

By Myron Proudfoot  BETHANY, Mo. – Bethany Speedway will open the gates for the fourth straight year in 2021. The same regular divisions will race for the fans, including IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kus­toms Northern SportMods. The United Rebel Sprint Series will also make two appearances. After the May 22 race, there will be two races each month in June (5 and 26), two in July (10 and 24), two in August (7 and 21), then September will have races during the Northwest Missouri State Fair on the 5th and 6th and championship night on the 25th. Bethany Speedway reopened in 2018 after 17 years of only having two races in 2010 and Labor Day week­end fair races for that period of time. Springfield Raceway hosts EMS Night at the Races

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – IMCA Modifieds sponsored locally by Bad Boy Mowers swing back into action Sat­urday night at The Quick Quarter of the action-packed Springfield Raceway. It will be EMS Night at the Races as Emergency Service Personnel receive free grandstand admission to the Dirt track racing action. Those who put it all on the line for us, including law enforcement, fire and rescue personnel, ambulance and those who keep us safe and sound need to bring ID for the door-to-door action that Springfield provides.  Former track champion James Thompson has scored a win and runner up split with Steven Bowers thus far.  Pit gates open at 2:45 p.m., with the grandstands opening and driver check-in ending at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 5:30 p.m. with racing to start at 6 p.m.  Grandstand admission for adults is just $15 with kids school age $2 and five and under is Free. IMCA Modifieds, Late Models chase $1,000 checks at Davenport opener

DAVENPORT, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Late Models both run for $1,000 to win on opening night Friday, April 23 at Davenport Speedway.  The Modified feature is a qualifier for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot; Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods also see their first action of the season at Davenport that evening. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Pit passes are $30. Spectator admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids ages 5-12, with four and under free.

Phillips County opens with weekend doubleheader

HOLYOKE, Colo. – A season-opening doubleheader sees five IMCA divisions in action this weekend at Phillips County Raceway. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts are on Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18 race programs at Holyoke. Both shows are draw/redraw. Racing starts at 3 p.m. both days. The weekend twinbill also kicks off the Colorado Alliance Tour and is the second leg of the Tri-State Tour. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 65 and over, $ for youth ages 6-12 and free for kids five and under.

Bullring opener set for Sunday

VINTON, Iowa – With the annual season-opening Frostbuster special in the books, the weekly points opener is next on the schedule at the Benton County Speedway Bullring this Sunday, April 18. Five IMCA sanctioned divisions are set to do weekly battle on the Bullring throughout the 2021 season, including the 96.5 KISS Country Modifieds, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods presented by Christie Door Company, Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Albert Auto, Sunoco Hobby Stocks presented by Kwik Star and Mach-1 Sport Compacts presented by Auto Crafters.  Pit gate and grandstand both open at 3 p.m., with hot laps at 5:40 and racing to follow. General grandstand admission is $13, seniors and veterans $11 and students ages 6-14 $5. Kids five and under are admitted free with a paid adult. Pit passes are $30. IMCA Modifieds start season Saturday at Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Quick Quarter of the Springfield Raceway will be ready to begin the Championship Chase Saturday this Saturday, April 3 with racing to begin at 6:30 p.m. IMCA Modifieds return to weekly programs at the high-banked dirt oval where Jody Tillman is defending champions in the locally sponsored Bad Boy Mower class.  Pit gates will open at 3 p.m. while hot laps will begin at approximately 5:50 p.m. with racing to follow. Draw cutoff will be around 5:45 p.m.  The grandstand opens at 5 p.m. with adult admission $15 while kids 6 through school ages is $2. Five and under are free in the grandstands. Championship Night this Friday at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, Sept. 25, is championship night at US 36 Raceway. US 36 will crown the season champion in IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. As part of championship night, the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will race for $1,200 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. This is also the final opportunity for drivers and teams to race before the fall special at US 36, the second annual Missouri Nationals on Oct. 8-10. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior and military and children 12 and younger are free. Pit passes are $35.

IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars chase $1,200 check at U.S. 36

OSBORN, Mo. – Friday, Sept. 18, marks the penultimate points race at U.S. 36 Raceway for the 2020 championship season.  Along with the continued points battles, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars are racing for $1,200 to win and $250 to start in a draw and redraw show. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods are also racing. Pits open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m., with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tick­ets for the event are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior and military and children 12 and younger are free. Pit passes are $35.  The final two events at U.S. 36 Raceway are Championship Night on Friday, Sept. 25 and the second annual Missouri IMCA Nationals on Oct. 8-10. Winston Speedway hosts another Friday Fast Shafts All-Star qualifier

ROTHBURY, Mich. – A check for $1,000 and a place on the 2021 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot go to the winner of the IMCA Modified main event this Friday night at Winston Speedway. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region, KMJ Performance State and track points will be awarded at the Aug. 28 draw/redraw show. There is no entry fee; pit passes are $30 with admission to the pits free for children two and under. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 60 and over, military and kids 6-11, and free for five and under.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. The draw ends and hot laps start at 6:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.  Sponsor for the division at Rothbury is Mercy Health Partners. Connie Jewett Memorial Championship show Sunday at Dawson County Raceway

LEXINGTON, Neb. – Dawson County Raceway’s fifth annual Connie Jewett Memorial Championship Night this Sunday features $1,000 to win main events for both IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Ken Schrader joins the Modified field for the Aug. 30 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Money has been added to the purse in all divisions. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both race for $750 to win, Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $250 at the draw/redraw show. There is no registration fee. Pit gates open at 3 p.m., the draw closes at 5:30 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Prizes to be given away during the evening include three flat screen TVs. The Dawson County Cattlemen will give away 150 all-beef hot dogs and complimentary Coca Colas.  Pit meeting prizes will be given and there’s a candy toss for kids as well.
