Speedway Motors continues support of IMCA Weekly Racing, Super Nationals

LINCOLN, Neb. – One of the longest partnerships in all of dirt track racing continues in 2017 as Speedway Motors has renewed its support of IMCA drivers in all eight divisions. Speedway Motors continues its title sponsorship role of IMCA Weekly Racing for a milestone 10th consecutive season. Big Daddy now has new, big role in Southern Hobby Stock Region

NORFOLK, Neb. – Every driver in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock division will be in the running for post-season cash awards from Big Daddy Race Cars. The Norfolk, Neb., chassis builder becomes title sponsor of the division’s Southern Region while returning for a fourth season in the same role in the Northern Region. Big Daddy will furnish a portion of the point fund to be paid to the top five drivers in the respective regions. IMCA Sprint Series of Nebraska primed for 10 dates in three states

BENNINGTON, Neb. – Ten race dates at tracks in three states comprise the 2017 schedule for the Sprint Series of Nebraska. Each main event in the tour for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars pays $700 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Allstar Performance State and special series points will be awarded. The series visits two tracks for the first time: Raceway Park in Jefferson, S.D., on June 18 and the Belleville, Kan., High Banks on July 3. Wernette wins drawing for 2017 IMCA license

BOONE, Iowa – IMCA Modified and Super Nationals veteran Chad Wernette was the winner of a drawing for a complimentary 2017 competitor’s license. The Sheridan, Mich., driver’s name was drawn from among those returning a survey following the 2016 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. “What we enjoy most about Super Nationals is the people,” said Wernette, elected to the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational field in 2010. “We keep trying to get better every year.” He’ll be a regular at Crystal Motor Speedway again this season and plans occasional starts at I-96 Speedway and Tri-City Motor Speedway as well.

IMCA Sprint Cars new to Saturday shows at Boone

BOONE, Iowa – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will be new to weekly race programs this season at Boone Speedway. The winged division last ran at Boone during the 2009 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. “The timing to sanction Sprint Cars is right,” said Promoter Robert Lawton. “They are a good fit with the other IMCA divisions we run weekly.” IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods are all on the April 8 Frostbuster card at Boone, with the first local track points awarded on April 15. Arizona IMCA Modified Tour updates schedule to include Canyon stops

YUMA, Ariz. – Eight $1,250 to win main events take top billing when the inaugural IMCA Arizona Modified Tour ventures to Cocopah Speedway, Arizona Speedway, Canyon Speedway Park and San Tan Ford Central Arizona Speedway. Each IMCA Modified feature is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event and a minimum of $150 will be paid to make the 24-car fields. 281 has new promoters for 20th IMCA season

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The 20th season for IMCA racing at 281 Speedway will be the first under the promotional guidance of Joe Spillman and Heather Combs. Their C&S Promotions partnership oversees Saturday night programs on the ¼-mile dirt oval beginning with opening night on March 4. The point season for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts runs through Sept. 16. C&S has promoted a couple enduros, both held at Heart O’ Texas Speedway, and signed the lease at 281 in early December.
