Opening night for United Rebel Sprint Series is less than a month away

OBERLIN, Kan. – The Kansas-based United Rebel Sprint Series’ 14th consecutive season is set to kick off in less than a month, with a two-night IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car twinbill at two differ­ent tracks in Kansas. It will all kick off on Friday, April 5, as the tour makes the first of three scheduled appearances at 81 Speedway in Park City for the track’s ninth annual Park City Cup/Air Capital Shootout. The series is excited to become a part of this annual event and with a huge thank you to Precise Rac­ing Products, this event will pay the URSS Friday night winner $800. Then on Saturday, April 6, the tour will head southwest to the beautiful Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City to battle the local Precise Racing DCRP Sprints for their first of six events atop promoter Tommie Estes Jr.’s palace. Fantastic forecast for Southern Oklahoma Speedway’s March 7-9 Stampede

Tri-City Motor Speedway launches into ninth season

AUBURN, Mich.– Tri-City Motor Speedway is dropping the green flag on the 2019 season opener Friday, April 26.  The entertainment hot spot has packed the schedule full of action all the way through the season finale. IMCA Modifieds run weekly at Auburn for the ninth consecutive season and are part of the Dirt Works Eastern Region.  Families will be looking forward to getting their kids involved in the fun. Spring Showcase set March 8, 9 at Canyon

By Tony Steele  PEORIA, Ariz. – The Spring Showcase will kick racing action off once again at Canyon Speedway Park for the 2019 season Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9. The IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season will begin for the IMCA Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars with the big doubleheader. Defending champions Chaz Baca Jr. (Modifieds), Speedy Madrid (SportMods) and George Fronsman (Stock Cars) will all look to get a jump start at defending their crowns. On Friday, the gates are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. with the first green flag at 7:30 p.m. Saturday will see gates at 5 p.m. and first green flag at 7 p.m.  Admission prices are $25 for adults. Dodge City Stock Car Shootout set for May 4

By Lonnie Wheatley  DODGE CITY, Kan. – An already action-packed 2019 schedule of events atop the 3/8-mile Dodge City Raceway Park clay oval in southwest is even better now with the addition of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car Shootout on Saturday night, May 4. The Stock Car Shootout presented by Winner’s Circle Feedyards and Factory Direct Fireworks offers up a $1,000 winner’s share with $150 to start the feature event. With a number of invaders from throughout expected to take on the local contingent, a draw-re­draw format will be in effect for the evening. Ice Breaker starts season at Abilene Speedway this weekend

ABILENE, Texas – Abilene Speedway hosts its traditional season-opening Ice Breaker on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15 and 16. IMCA Modifieds run for $700 to win and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods for $600 each night. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $600 to win on Friday and for $750 to win their Lone Star Tour opener on Saturday. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis South Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region, Texas State and track points will be awarded for both draw/redraw programs.  The pits open at 4 p.m. and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday. IMCA Modifieds chase $2K at Pahrump’s Stormin’ Mormon

PAHRUMP, Nev. – IMCA Modifeds race for $2,000 to win and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth at Pahrump Valley Speedway’s Saturday, March 2 Stormin’ Mormon Showdown.  The runner-up earns $1,000 with $750 paid for third and $500 for fourth, with a minimum of $200 paid to make the 20-car starting field. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region and Ne­vada State points will be awarded.  The draw and pre-tech run from 2-4 p.m. Wheel packing is at 4 p.m. and precedes hot laps. IMCA Arizona Modified Tour at 170 early entries

QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. – One hundred and seventy drivers are on the pre-entry list for the Feb. 7-16 IMCA Arizona Modified Tour.  Arizona Speedway at Queen Creek hosts Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9 events. The tour is at Casa Grande’s Central Arizona Speedway for Sunday and Monday, Feb. 10 and 11 shows and at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria on Wednesday, Feb. 13. 281 Speedway starts new season with IMCA Big Chill Throwdown special

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Four IMCA divisions are on the card for both nights of 281 Speedway’s season-open­ing Big Chill Throwdown.  IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Smi­ley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will be featured in Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9 shows.  Modifieds race for $600 to win, Stock Cars and  Southern SportMods both for $500 and Sport Compacts for $200 each night.
