STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Four IMCA divisions are on the card for both nights of 281 Speedway’s season-opening Big Chill Throwdown.
IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will be featured in Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9 shows.
Modifieds race for $600 to win, Stock Cars and Southern SportMods both for $500 and Sport Compacts for $200 each night. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Texas State and track points will be awarded both nights. There is no entry fee.
Pits open at noon on Friday with check-in running from 5 p.m. until the 7:15 p.m. drivers’ meeting. The grandstand opens at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, the pit area opens at 8 a.m. and check-in runs from 4 p.m. until the 6:15 p.m. drivers’ meeting. The grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and the first green flag flies at 7 p.m.
Spectator admission both days is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, military and students, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $35.
