EAGLE, Neb. – Entries for the weekend’s Ice Breaker Challenge presented by Auto Trans Matic at Eagle Raceway now number more than 270. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win on Friday, April 19 and for $2,000 to win on Saturday, April 20. Both events are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers. Kupper Chevrolet renews title sponsorship of Dakota Tour for IMCA Modifieds, Stocks

MANDAN, N.D. – Kupper Chevrolet has again renewed its contract as title sponsor for the Dakota Classic Tour for IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Deery Series returns to Cedar County Raceway for opening night

TIPTON, Iowa – The Deery Brothers Summer Series returns to Cedar County Raceway for another opening night show this Saturday. The April 20 event marks the second time in as many years that the IMCA Late Model tour has started its season at Tipton, where defending champion Justin Kay of Wheatland has won the last four series events. DUBUQUE, Iowa (April 15) – The new date for the Deery Brothers Summer Series show at Dubuque Speedway is Sunday, April 28. Postponed from April 14, the main event for touring IMCA Late Models pays $2,500 to win and a minimum of $300 to start and headlines the Hershel Roberts/Ray Guss Sr. Memorial program originally scheduled last Saturday at Maquoketa Speedway. The April 13 show lost to low temperatures will not be rescheduled. Crawford County Speedway opens with April 19, 20 Spring Fling

DENISON, Iowa – Five IMCA divisions race both nights at Crawford County Speedway’s season-opening April 19 and 20 Spring Fling. Friday and Saturday main events for IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars pay $850 to win while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both race for $500 to win. Top prize both nights for the Mach-1 Sport Compacts is $200. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and E3 Spark Plugs State points, but no track points will be awarded at each program. Practice starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18 and a complimentary meal is included with the purchase of a pit pass. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow Friday. Seventh annual Modified Stampede this Saturday at Dodge City Raceway Park

By Lonnie Wheatley DODGE CITY, Kan. – After a stellar opening night that attracted a total of 108 racers to Dodge City Raceway Park this past Saturday night, the spotlight shifts to the IMCA Modifieds with Saturday night’s seventh Modified Stampede. Saturday’s card that will attract the top Modified contenders from throughout the area offers up a $1,000 winner’s share and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth. Ponca City, Okla., native Brendon Gemmill reigns as the defending Stampede champion after making a late move to top last year’s event. It was his second Modified Stampede triumph after capturing his first win in 2014. Gemmill joined Woodward’s Cole Traugott and multi-time national champion David Murray Jr. as two-time winners of the event. Traugott reeled off back-to-back wins in 2016 and 2017 while Oberlin’s Murray swept both nights of the Inaugural event in 2013 before topping the 2015 edition as well. First doubleheader of season this weekend for PASS

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – The first two-race weekend of the season for the IMCA RaceSaver Pennsylvania Sprint Series should bring out the largest sprint car fields seen so far in 2019 in Central Pennsylvania. A 40-car field or even better is expected Saturday, April 6 when PASS is at Port Royal Speedway for that venue’s first night race of the season. Gates open at 4 p.m. and racing is set to start at 6 p.m. at the historic Juniata County Fairgrounds track.
