Crawford County Speedway opens with April 19, 20 Spring Fling

DENISON, Iowa – Five IMCA divisions race both nights at Crawford County Speedway’s season-opening April 19 and 20 Spring Fling.

Friday and Saturday main events for IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars pay $850 to win while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both race for $500 to win. Top prize both nights for the Mach-1 Sport Compacts is $200. 

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and E3 Spark Plugs State points, but no track points will be awarded at each program.

Practice starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18 and a complimentary meal is included with the purchase of a pit pass.

Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow Friday. Six p.m. hot laps precede racing on Saturday. 

Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, students and military with ID, and free for kids ages five and under. Pit passes are $30 for adults and $20 for kids.

Five IMCA divisions on Crawford County opening night card

DENISON, Iowa – Five IMCA divisions see action under the Friday night lights when Crawford County Speedway hosts its opening night event of 2020.  IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts run at Denison on May 15, chasing IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, state and track points.  Drivers in all divisions are asked to register ahead of time through the link on the track Facebook page. A maximum of 10 people can accompany each race car and pit passes will be purchased at the pit gate; driver sign-in will be completed at the score tower. Social distancing will be followed and it’s recommended that participants wear masks or other appropriate facial covering. No grandstand seating will be sold.  Pit gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

IMCA Modifieds, RaceSaver Sprints race for $1,000 to win at Crawford County

DENISON, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars both run for $1,000 to win this Friday, June 11 at Crawford County Speedway. It’s Mods for Mindy Night and that feature will be a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Family and friends of Mindy Reetz have contributed an additional $1,700 to the purse for all divisions. Finishline Racing Products has also added $500 to the winner’s share of the Modified purse and will give gift certificates as well. All divisions will be draw/redraw and more information about the Friday show is to be announced.Gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing to follow. Pit passes are $25 for adults and $15 for kids ages 6-10. Spectator admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors citizens, military and students. Kids five and under get in free.

IMCA Late Models chase Sunoco bonuses at Denison, Harlan

DENISON, Iowa (May 16, 2023) – IMCA Late Model drivers have two shots at winning a Sunoco Race Fuels bonus this weekend. The divisional title sponsor awards $250 bonuses to feature winners on Friday, May 19 at Crawford County Speedway in Denison and Saturday, May 20 at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan. Drivers can get the bonus one time in a season; the $250 will be awarded to the top finishing non-winning driver any night the winner has previously received the bonus. Late Models will be first on the track for their heats and main event Friday night, joining IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts on the Friday card.
