BATESVILLE, Ark. (March 18) – NASCAR fan favorite Ken Schrader joins the headline field on Thursday, opening night of the Mid-America Modified Championship special at Batesville Motor Speedway. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 20-22 IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified features all pay $1,500 to win, a minimum of $200 to start and are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers. IMCA Speed­way Motors Weekly Racing Na­tional, Jet Racing Cen­tral Region and All­star Performance State points will be awarded each night. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. each day. IMCA Speed­way Motors Weekly Racing Na­tional, Jet Racing Cen­tral Region and All­star Performance State points will be awarded each night. Drivers prepare for Antioch Speedway opener March 15

ANTIOCH, Calif. – Racers will be turning wrenches and cleaning cars late into the night this week to prepare for opening night at Antioch Speedway. The Contra Costa Fairgrounds 3/8-mile banked clay oval has an exciting schedule kicked off by a six-division program on Saturday night, March 15. Champion Troy Foulger, 23, of Martinez will return to competition at his home track driving the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified owned by Oakley’s Billy Bowers. Foulger has an unprecedented four straight track championships and the Bowers car has seven – three with its previous driver, Kenny Neu. The Foulger-Bowers duo returned from a rough season-opening race this past Saturday in Chico, Calif. They chased friendly Oakley foe Kellen Chadwick across the finish line. Car show, test and tune April 12 in Independence

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – The streets of downtown Independence will soon be filled with the sights and sounds of a new race season during the Indee Drivers’ Day Car Show. The event, which kicks off the 2014 season at Independence Motor Speedway, offers race fans the chance to get a close-up view of this year’s competition and to meet their favorite drivers. It is scheduled for Saturday, April 12. Area drivers are invited to bring their cars to display during the morning-long event. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the car show running until noon. A number of streets in the downtown area will be blocked off and restricted to race cars and foot traffic that morning. They include 1st Street East from 2nd Avenue NE to 3rd Avenue NE, along with 3rd Avenue NE from 1st Street East to 2nd Street NE. 34 Raceway car show, kick off party March 15-16

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – 34 Raceway is gearing up for its 2014 season with the annual Midwest Performance & Power Westland Mall two-day car show and the Roederer’s kickoff party Saturday, March 15 and Sunday March 16. By Joe Bellm HOLYOKE, Colo. – The 2014 Modified, Stock Car and Northern SportMod tours are pleased to announce three title sponsors, Precise Racing Products with the Modifieds, and new additions of Addiction Chassis for Stock Cars, and long-standing supporter Leary Racing Products for the inaugural Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod Tour. This year’s tour consists of four weekend stops consisting of ten races; with a best of nine out of 10 format which allows all participants to race their local weekly racing series as well as the BST Tour without any conflicts. BATESVILLE, Ark. (March 3) – Winter decided it wasn’t ready to give up after all. As a result, the Mid-America Modified Championship special at Batesville Motor Speedway has been rescheduled to Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 20-22. Promoter Mooney Starr said the two-week postponement would allow for optimum track conditions and a better shot at good racing weather. IMCA Modifieds visit Las Vegas Motor Speedway for midweek twinbill

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 2) – A pair of $750 to win features are on the card when IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds travel to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a midweek doubleheader on the half-mile Dirt Track. World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars are also on March 5 and 6 FVP Outlaw Showdown programs at LVMS. West Coast Late Models run on Wednesday and West Coast 360 Sprints run on Thursday. Modified features pay a minimum of $75 to start and $50 in non-qualifier money. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Racing Western Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded. KENNEDALE, Texas (Feb. 28) – Four IMCA divisions are on the program for Kennedale Speedway Park’s season-opening Spring Kick-Off special this Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2. IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars run for $800 to win on Saturday. Texas Lone Star Series shows are slated both nights for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods.
