Kennedale Speedway Park remembers Kirk Martin at 16th annual Showdown

KENNEDALE, Texas (Sept. 26, 2022) – Kennedale Speedway Park remembers a fixture in the Texas racing scene during the 16th annual Summit Racing Equipment Showdown Sept. 29-Oct. 1. The weekend Kirk Martin Memorial program sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds racing for $3,069 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $2,069 to win and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods for $1,569 to win.  The Modified feature is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifier with $1,500 paid for second and $1,000 for third. Minimum start money is $300. The Stock Car feature is a B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifier and pays $1,069 for second and a minimum of $200 to start. The SportMod runner-up earns $1,000 with a minimum of $200 paid to start that race as well. Entry fee, if paid by Sept. 28, is $80 for Modifieds, $60 for Stock Cars and $50 for the Southern SportMods. Maquoketa Speedway to host inaugural Gil Short Memorial 

By Jerry Mackey  MAQUOKETA, Iowa (Sept. 19, 2022) – Maquoketa Speedway will bring the 2022 racing season to a close this weekend with the first annual running of the Gil Short Memorial. Two full nights of racing will be held at the Jackson County Fairgrounds quarter-mile dirt track. Short was the chief and founder of the Speedway Fire Rescue group that serves many Eastern Iowa race tracks by providing safety equipment and personnel.  The Friday, Sept. 23 program sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds headlining the action with a $1,200 first place prize on the line. Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods battle it out for a $750 top prize, also racing will be the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Friday night will also be the Maquoketa Speedway 2022 Hall Of Fame Induction night. Honorees will include Phil Roberts, Larry Goldbeck, Dan Garland and Duke Jackson. IMCA Modifieds chasing $4,000 top checks each night of Batesville’s Sept. 22-24 Race For Hope 71 

BATESVILLE, Ark. (Sept. 14, 2022) – A lot of talent and a little luck could send one lucky driver home with as much as $13,000 from Batesville Motor Speedway’s September 22-24 Race For Hope 71.  The new format for the sixth annual special, presented by IMCA.TV, sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds racing for $4,000 to win along with Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational eligibility each night Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the top driver in points for the three shows earning a $1,000 bonus. Runners-up each night get $2,000 with $1,250 for third and $1,000 for fifth. Mod Lites of Arkansas racing for $2,000 at inaugural Mid-South Nationals

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (Sept. 13, 2022) – Mod Lites of Arkansas return to Riverside International Speedway this Saturday, Sept. 7 for the inaugural $2,000 to win Mid-South Nationals. The IMCA STARS Mod Lites headline the evening program and the winner goes home with a specialty – and functional – Fender acoustic guitar trophy. The main event pays $200 to start with non-qualifiers getting $50.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, state and MLA points will be awarded. Drivers finishing seventh and 11th receive prize packages from Mid-State Racing and Tire Bloomers, respectively. Entry fee is $75 and pit passes are $35. Selinsgrove hosts Pennsylvania Game Commission “Race To Hunting Season”  

SELINSGROVE, Pa. (Sept. 12, 2022) – The Pennsylvania Sprint Series and Selinsgrove Speedway announced Race to Hunting Season, an exciting new event to be held Saturday, Sept. 17, featuring the PASS IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car division. PASS and the speedway have partnered with the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) to present a fun pre-race atmosphere combined with a championship race for the winged open wheel division.  The PASS purse, which is expected to be doubled for the event thanks to the support from PGC and a boost from the track, will pay $900 to win and $450 to start. MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Sept. 12, 2022) – Two thousand dollars is the top prize for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds both nights of Marshalltown Speedway’s Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16 and 17 World Nationals. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods also race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win both nights. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and state points will be awarded. Modified winners become eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, Stock Car winners for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. IMCA Stock Cars chase $10,000 top prize at Batesville’s Mid-America Championship

BATESVILLE, Ark. (Aug. 29, 2022) – The richest race of the season for The Class Too Tough to Tame in Arkansas is on tap Sept. 2-3, when Batesville Motor Speedway rolls out the red carpet for the Schoenfeld Headers Mid-America IMCA Stock Car Championship. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $10,000 to win at the 27th annual event, along with an automatic starting spot in the upcoming B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. The runner-up earns $5,000 with $2,500 paid for third, $1,250 for fourth and $1,000 for fifth. IMCA Stock Cars are headliner at US 30’s inaugural Governor’s Cup

COLUMBUS, Neb. (Aug. 28, 2022) – Abe’s US 30 Speedway hosts the inaugural Governor’s Cup special, with IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars racing for $2,000 to win their Thursday, Sept. 1 main event.  The B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifier is also the next installment in the Stock Car Crown Summer Series and pays a minimum of $200 to start. Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods run for $1,000 to win and $150 to start, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win and $50 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and state points will be awarded, with Stock Cars earning series points as well.  Registration fee is $20 for Stock Cars and Northern SportMods. Ocean Speedway Pettit Shootout shows to feature IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods Sept. 23, 24

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (Aug. 26, 2022) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods are on the card for both nights of Ocean Speedway’s 12th annual Pettit Shootout.  The West Coast’s premier shootout honors Pat and Jim Pettit Friday, Sept. 23 and Saturday, Sept. 24. Modifieds race for $1,003 to win and a minimum of $103 to start, Northern SportMods for $553 to win and a minimum of $103 to start on opening night.
