MANDAN, N.D. – Registration is now open for the upcoming Kupper Chevrolet Dakota Classic Tour at the www.dakotaclassictour.com website. Drivers who want to speed up the entry process for the first tour race at Nodak Speedway in Minot on Sunday, July 6 will only have to pay their pit fees and get to the pit area quickly by using this simple online form. Tour officials also use these entries to forward demographics to other tracks later in the week. In addition, pre-entered names also go to news media outlets so racing fans will know ahead of time who will be racing the tour this year. Davenport hosts $2,000 to win SportMod Challenge this Friday

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods take the spotlight in a $2,000 to win main event this Friday, June 13 at Davenport Speedway. The IMCA SportMod Challenge will use a draw/redraw format and all racing will be on the 1/4-mile dirt oval. Pit gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand will open at 5 p.m., with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. Also on the card that evening will be IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Late Models, street stocks and 4-stocks. Carload Special for round four at Sunset Speedway Park

By Ben Deatherage BANKS, Ore. – Sunset Speedway Park is excited to get back into action this Saturday, June 7 for the fourth race program of 2014. Also for this event is Carload Special, which gets a carload, truck­load, RV-load, etc. of fans into the races for only $25. Classes in action include the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Women’s and 4-Bee’s. Doug Lockwood and Bubba Foster are the only two drivers to have won in the IMCA Modifieds so far in 2014. John Ireland leads the table in victories in Street Stock competition with two over Earl Claypool Jr.’s one. Autograph Night is June 7 at Thunderhill Raceway

Dan Lewis Photography will have checkered flags for purchase to put those signatures on. The autograph session will take place at intermission. The night is sponsored by Jim Olson Motors of Sturgeon Bay. A brand new GM 602 crate engine will go to one lucky racer in the IMCA Northern SportMod or IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock division at the 2014 banquet courtesy of Jim Olson Motors. Algoma Motors Night is Friday at Luxemburg Speedway

Algoma Motors will be sponsoring the event which kicks off at 7 p.m. This show will include our weekly divisions. Troy Jerovetz picked up his first IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature win of the season last week. It was only his second night of the season at Luxemburg. Jason Czarapata shows the way in the standings ahead of young guns Brad Lautenbach and Johnny Whitman by six and eight points, respectively. Brandon Czarapata got back to his winning ways last week after heavy pressure from Rob Waechter. TIPTON, Iowa (June 4) – Another midweek race date has both the Deery Brothers Summer Series and XSAN Hawkeye Dirt Tour at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton next Tuesday, June 10. IMCA Late Models will run for $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start in what will now be the sixth Deery Series event of the season. SportMod Challenge tops June action at Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Iowa (June 4) – Four Fridays of exciting racing action are planned for the Davenport Speedway in the month of June. The month starts out this Friday, June 6, when the regular weekly racing program is joined by an appearance of the Midwest Jalopies. Race fans get a chance to re-live the racing past as the vintage racing coupes compete on the quarter-mile oval. The night’s racing action is sponsored by Kile Motorsports. Friday, June 13, brings the SportMod Challenge and $2,000 will go to the winner of the 50-lap main event in the growing Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod division. BATTLE MOUNTAIN, Nev. (May 30-31) – Cory Sample couldn’t have asked for a better opening weekend for the inaugural I-80 Challenge Series. Relay for Life Cancer Awareness Pink Night Saturday at Independence

By Ryan Clark INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – The tradition of opening the month of June with a splash of pink continues this season at Independence Motor Speedway. The Saturday, June 7 program is the annual Relay for Life Cancer Awareness Pink Night at the Races. Race fans are encouraged to wear pink to the races that evening to help promote cancer awareness. Members from the area chapter of Relay for Life will be on hand selling merchandise to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Also a tradition, the annual helmet drive will again be held this season. A handful of drivers will make their way through the grandstands during intermission to help raise money for the cause.
