Qualifying format announced for 141’s $10,000 to win Clash at the Creek

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. – Ten thousand dollars is the top prize when IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds from across the Midwest and Canada converge on 141 Speedway for the Wednesday and Thursday, June 25-26 Clash at the Creek. A minimum of $750 will be paid to start the 50-lap feature at Francis Creek, a qualifying event for the 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. This is the first year the sixth annual Clash has been sanctioned by IMCA and the event instantly becomes one of the biggest-paying Modified races of the season. Big Wheel Night is Friday at Luxemburg

LUXEMBURG, Wis. – This Friday, June 20 is the night the kids wait for all year long at Luxemburg Speedway. It’s time for them to take to the track and show the fans and drivers the future of the Speedway. The regular five divisions will be in action with racing starting at 7 p.m. Gnome Games will be sponsoring the show. The first 400 kids will receive a Race into Reading Program coloring book. Gnome Games will have 50 participation medals for the Big Wheel contestants. Jay Matthias, Chris Budzban and Mike Dauphinais will have their cars on display before the races. Eric Mahlik won his first IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified main event last week after Troy Jerovetz ran into trouble. Karsyn’s Krusaders, Three Wide Media Night June 21 at Independence

By Ryan Clark INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – Three Wide Media is teaming up with Karsyn’s Krusaders to sponsor the Saturday, June 21 weekly racing program at Independence Motor Speedway. A number of promotions will be part of the June 21 event to help raise awareness and money for the fight against cancer. An “ultimate fan package” raffle will be conducted throughout the evening, offering the winner a two night/three day stay, plus Karsyn’s Krusaders merchandise, a free subscription to Dirt Late Model or Dirt Modified magazine, gift cards and much more. Sunday’s top prize for IMCA Modifieds at Redwood Speedway is $1,000

REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. – IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds race for $1,000 to win this Sunday, June 22 at Redwood Speedway. The feature is a qualifying event for the 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Brighter Homes Store and Klabunde Electric, both of Redwood Falls, sponsor the Modified portion of Sunday’s race program. Also on the regular weekly card are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. All applicable points will be awarded in the five IMCA divisions. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. on race day. The XSAN Hawkeye Dirt Tour travels to Donnellson for a June 19 show that pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150 to start. Mattison charges to Stock Car win in Redline Racing Parts North Star Series

SLAYTON, Minn. (June 13) – Gary Mattison raced better on the track than he drew for position. As a result, he drove away from the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car field for his career-first Redline Racing Parts North Star Series feature win Friday night at Murray County Speedway. Mattison started 10th and caught defending champion Jim Larson and Matt Speckman after halfway for the lead and the eventual victory. “I went to the high side to pass,” Mattison said. “The car was good and I just tried to be patient.” Larson ended in second. Hard charger Jake Masters moved up 10 spots to third, Speckman was fourth and Jake Bruns completed the top five. NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – The inaugural Conner and Colten Gentry Memorial for Mach-1 Sport Compacts tops the program for Lincoln County Raceway’s second annual Buffalo Bill Wild West Challenge on Tuesday, June 17. Weekly Race Wars continue Saturday at Thunderhill

The evening’s program is sponsored by Marchant’s Meats & Sausage of Sturgeon Bay and as a special treat the ribeye sandwich will return to the concession stand.
