Super heroes is theme for best appearing car contest at Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – Dirt track racing heroes competing at Boone Speedway won’t be the only heroes in the pits and on the track at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Modified and Northern SportMod drivers are en­couraged to enter cars with the Super Heroes theme.  Drivers of the winning cars in each division receive trophies. Speedway Motors gives $100 gift cards to all drivers entering the contest while Sweet Manufacturing gives a steering box to the Modified winner. “Super Nationals is all about heroes, so the tie in to super heroes is obvious,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “There’s room for a lot of imagination with the contest and we look forward to seeing what folks come up with.” “While designs should be original, it’s important that drivers and their graphics design­ers remember that required decals must be incorporated,” he noted. Both winners will be announced during the week at Boone.

Super Nationals online registration underway

BOONE, Iowa – Online registration for the biggest and best event in all of dirt track racing is underway.  Drivers in all divisions except the Late Models planning to compete at the Sept. 2-7 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s must pre-register online. The form for pre-registration can be found at www.imca.com and www.raceboone.com under the Super Nationals menu.  Drivers who do not already have a MyRacePass account can create one when they go to that link. “We began the on-line registration process last year and it helped speed up the entire process immensely,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “It made it considerably easier for our staff to prepare for Super Nationals leading up to the event and streamlined much of the actual week of Super Nationals for IMCA and Boone Speedway employees.”  Drivers must also pre-register to reserve pit stalls and to compete in the Aug. 31 Prelude at Boone Speedway.
