Mike’s bid to chase down Brian went by the wayside on lap 13 as his car went spinning while side-by-side with Kilgore. JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 21, 2022) – Colby Fett put Park Jefferson Speedway’s Heartland Horsepower Nationals on his racing radar early this spring. After making sure he could get off work and seeing what the weather would do, he kept a top-flight field of Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods behind him and put $5,000 in the bank. Fett led the last 10 of 30 laps Tuesday night, outrunning the likes of Logan Anderson, Brayton Carter, Robbie Thome and Jared Boumeester to the checkers and the career-best payday. “We’ve been a bridesmaid a lot this year and I’ve gotten second in so many of these big races before, I just couldn’t believe it,” admitted Fett, runner-up in seven of his 17 starts leading up to the rich special at Park Jeff. “This was a big win for us and our team.” He’d taken the initial green flag from fourth, moved up to the outside of the front row following a first lap caution and then chased Boumeester for most of 20 circuits before finding his way to [Read More]

Gilman is IMCA Modified winner at Stuart’s Bill Davis Sr. Memorial

By Josh Reynolds  STUART, Iowa (June 22, 2022) – One hundred and five race cars made their way to Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway for the Bill Davis Sr. Memorial on Wednesday night. Todd VanEaton led the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature until a lap nine caution came out and the field was reset. This let 15-year-old Rowdee Van Genderen take advantage of the restart to get out front and lead the first feature laps of his young career.  Van Genderen led and was pulling away when another caution slowed the field on lap 15. He would stay out front for one more lap, but getting a great drive off of the bottom was Josh Pruitt with Miciah Hidlebaugh in tow. Hidlebaugh made it to Pruitt’s door in turn four but the two kept things clean and it was Pruitt taking the win. Hidlebaugh finished second with Van Genderen third, Ty Hill fourth and Austin Meiners fifth.  Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts were on the track next with Elijah Hoyt leading through lap two. 200th win is latest IMCA Hobby Stock accomplishment for Probst at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 18, 2022) – After thinking back to the time when he could hardly win a single race, Cory Probst talked about what it took for him to win 200 of them.  Probst earned the 200th feature win of his IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock Car career on Saturday at Arlington Raceway. The checkers were his eighth in 15 starts this season and already his sixth of 2022 at the big Sibley County Fairgrounds speedplant. “It was pretty special. I was surprised when I got my 100th win, let alone my 200th,” said the Brewster, Minn., driver, who celebrated with his family afterwards with dinner at Applebee’s. “I can remember when I started racing and it was hard to get one win.”  “I’ve learned that experience and a good car maintenance program are keys to getting wins,” he continued. “I think racing two or three times a week and racing at different tracks makes you a better driver than racing once a week at the same track. The more you race, there’s always something new you [Read More]
