LINCOLN, Neb.(Feb. 15, 2023) – Speedway Motors adds another new role to its support of IMCA and IMCA drivers, as part of the latest three-year sponsorship agreement with the sanctioning body.
The Lincoln, Neb., high performance parts manufacturer, retailer and distributor has inked a new pact that runs through its 46th season as a sponsor of IMCA.
2023 also marks Speedway Motors’ 29th season as title sponsor of Super Nationals, the biggest and most prestigious event in all of dirt racing, and 16th as title sponsor of IMCA Weekly Racing, helping 200-plus tracks in the United States and Canada defray ongoing costs of holding sanctioned regular and special events.
And following a 40th annual event that brought a record 1,000 entries to Boone Speedway, the upcoming Super Nationals marks Speedway Motors’ first as title sponsor of Manufacturers’ Row.
“We are proud to continue our support of IMCA and the racing community through this multi-year agreement, helping customers build their dreams while keeping racing safe, fun and affordable,” said Speedway Motors President and owner Clay Smith. “Our roots are in racing and we’ve been honored to help customers perform their best at the track for over 70 years.”
IMCA’s longest tenured sponsor, Speedway Motors currently offers more than 250,000 products for circle track, street, muscle and rod enthusiasts.
Rookie drivers winning IMCA career-first features receive $100 Speedway Motors gift certificates while Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock regional champions and Northern SportMod and Southern SportMod national champions each get sets of four TruCoil springs.
National champions, the Junior National Champion and Lady Eagle winner all receive helmets and $50 gift cards, to be presented during the IMCA awards banquet in November. The champions’ reception will also be held that weekend at the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed.
Champions at Super Nationals, RaceSaver Nationals and the Southern SportMod Super Nationals all receive custom jackets and helmet bags courtesy of Speedway Motors; $100 gift certificates go to highest finishing first-time qualifiers and $100 value packs to top non-qualifiers in each division at Super Nationals.
“There are so many different facets to the Speedway Motors program and every one of them has a direct benefit to IMCA drivers,” commented Carson Becker-Gramm, director of marketing integration and sponsorship for IMCA. “Those benefits have been realized from opening night of the Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season in January, and will continue through post-season awards presented in November and December.”
