The Duel Brings Three Nights of Racing to Mohave Valley Nov. 12-14

MOHAVE VALLEY, Ariz. (Sept. 28, 2026) — The Duel returns to Mohave Valley Raceway for three nights of racing Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 12-14, culminating with a $9,777.77-to-win feature for Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds.

Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks will join the Modifieds during the three-day event. Stock Cars and SportMods each race for $3,500 to win Saturday, while Hobby Stocks chase a $2,000 top prize.

Thursday and Friday will each pay $500 to win for Modifieds, Stock Cars, and SportMods. Second place receives $400 and third $300. Hobby Stocks will race for $400 to win Thursday and Friday. Second pays $300 and third $200.

Saturday’s Modified main event pays $9,777.77 to win, $3,750 for second, and $2,500 for third, with $400 paid to start from 13th through 22nd.

Stock Cars and SportMods each race for $3,500 to win Saturday, followed by $2,000 for second and $1,250 for third. Both features pay $150 to start from 12th through 22nd.

The Saturday Hobby Stock main event pays $2,000 to win, $1,000 for second, $750 for third, $600 for fourth, and $500 for fifth. Sixth pays $450, seventh $400, eighth $350, ninth $300, 10th $250, and 11th $200, with positions 12 through 22 each receiving $100.

Last-chance qualifiers will also pay competitors who do not advance. The Modified LCQ transfers its winner, while the Stock Car, SportMod, and Hobby Stock LCQs transfer the top two. Hobby Stock non-transfers receive $100 for third, $90 for fourth, $80 for fifth, $70 for sixth, $60 for seventh, and $50 for eighth.

Saturday’s Modified and Stock Car features will carry additional significance for the 2027 Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

The Modified winner will earn eligibility to attempt to qualify for the 2027 Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational, while the Stock Car winner will earn eligibility to attempt to qualify for the 2027 B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational.

Competitors will have an opportunity to get on the track before The Duel begins with practice Wednesday night, Nov. 11.

Pre-registration is available through Mohave Valley Raceway on MyRacePass. A late fee will apply after Oct. 31, with no additional registration fees beyond the late fee. The inaugural event used the same Oct. 31 late-registration cutoff structure.

Cash payouts will be made each night. Competitors registering in person must pay their registration fee in cash. Pit passes are separate from registration and must be purchased in person.

Mohave Valley Raceway celebrates 25th, Baca celebrates IMCA Modified feature win

MOHAVE VALLEY, Ariz. (April 14) – Consistency has Chaz Baca on top of IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region point standings. Speed put him in victory lane Saturday at Mohave Valley Raceway’s 25th anniversary special … twice. Baca led the last 10 laps in winning the IMCA Modified feature, and $1,500. Pike, Whisler shine at Mohave Valley

BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (May 22) – Jake Pike and A.J. Whisler raced their way to victory lane at Mohave Valley Raceway Saturday night.  In the IMCA Modified main event, Sean Stewart put his mount in front of the pack before an early caution.  On the restart, Stewart’s heavy pressure came from Pike, who was fast on the restart but could not get around Stewart for the lead. However, that would change when the second yellow flag flew several laps later.    Stewart still paced the field when things returned to green but Pike rearranged his game plan and motored his way around Sean Stewart via the high side. Once in the lead, Pike cruised right along and a long green flag presented lapped traffic but had no effect on the quickness of the pacesetter.
