SPENCER, Iowa (Aug. 10, 2026) — Kelly Shryock reached a milestone Monday night at Clay County Fair Speedway, earning his 100th career Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature victory to headline the evening’s racing program.
Shryock, of Fertile, started from the pole and led the opening laps before Austin Brands worked his way to the front. Shryock remained within striking distance before reclaiming the lead on lap 15 and driving away for the historic victory.
The win was Shryock’s 10th EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region triumph of the season and his second at Clay County Fair Speedway in 2026.
Brands finished second, Mike Albertsen was third, Jake Masters charged from ninth to fourth, and Dayton Ullrich completed the top five.
Davis Scores First Clay County SportMod Win
Brayden Ahlers appeared poised for victory in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature before Zach Davis of Lonsdale, Minn., mounted a late charge.
Davis raced from fifth starting position and made the winning pass with two laps remaining to collect his sixth victory of the season. It was his first win outside his home state of Minnesota in 2026 and his first career triumph at Clay County Fair Speedway.
Willy Kirk finished second, followed by Ahlers, Justin Klynsma, and Blake Andrews.
Schettler Dominates Hobby Stock Feature
Evan Schettler of Luverne, Minn., started second, grabbed the lead early, and was never challenged over the 20-lap Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature.
The race was halted by a red flag on lap five when Chad Volk clipped an infield tractor tire while battling for position in turn two, sending his car into a violent series of barrel rolls. Volk climbed from the car under his own power.
Schettler earned his second B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region victory of the season, with the two wins coming at different tracks.
Corey Probst finished second, Brandon Nielsen charged from 11th to third, Drew Barglof was fourth, and Will Smith rounded out the top five.
Osler Victorious in Sport Compact Action
Kaytee DeVries led the opening laps of the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature before a caution on lap two for contact involving Camden Nehring and Levi Volkert slowed the race. Nehring’s car was unable to continue.
Brooke Osler of Milford capitalized after the restart, racing from fourth to the lead and on to victory.
The win was Osler’s third of the season, with each coming at a different track.
Volkert finished second, DeVries settled for third, Gilbert Aldape was fourth, and Charles Prime completed the top five.
