Gregory Scores First Career Sprint Car Victory at Huset’s

BRANDON, S.D. (July 19, 2026) — Gavin Gregory broke through for the biggest win of his young career Sunday night, leading every lap of the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature at Huset’s Speedway to earn his first career sprint car victory.

The Luverne, Minnesota, driver was in command throughout the 20-lap main event, building an advantage of more than five seconds before crossing the finish line with a 3.755-second margin of victory.

Lee Goos Jr. put together the night’s biggest charge, advancing from 13th to finish second to earn hard charger honors.

Mason Slendy completed the podium in third, while Jared Jansen finished fourth. Aydin Lloyd also made an impressive drive through the field, advancing from 12th to round out the top five.

Gregory also enjoyed a strong preliminary program by winning one of the evening’s three heat races. Jay Masur and Jansen captured the remaining heat race victories.

Donnohue Delivers in Traffic for Huset’s Victory

(May 25, 2025) — Brady Donnohue made a late-race pass in traffic to win the 20-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event at Huset’s Speedway, which showcased four different leaders. Andrew Sullivan led the first two laps with Dylan Waxdahl taking over the top spot on lap three. Lee Goos Jr. used the top groove to move forward, powering into the lead on lap eight. Donnohue advanced into second place and closed on Goos Jr. once he hit traffic near the midpoint of the race. Donnohue pulled even for the lead twice before he completed the winning move on lap 18 en route to winning by 0.609 seconds. Goos Jr. finished second with Sullivan in third.

Goos Jr. Grabs First Huset’s Victory of 2025 in Wild Sprint Showdown

By Inside Line Promotions BRANDON, S.D. (Jun. 15, 2025) — Lee Goos Jr. was the third-and-final leader in a thrilling 20-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event at Huset’s Speedway. He became the sixth different winner in six races for the division this season. Zach Patterson paced the field for the first 14 laps before Trevor Serbus moved into the lead on lap 15. The three drivers of Patterson, Serbus and Goos Jr. duked it out for three straight laps of sliders and side-by-side racing with Goos Jr. edging in front on lap 17. He pulled away in the final laps to win by 1.091 seconds. It is the defending National champion’s fourth win of the season and first win at Huset’s in 2025. Serbus held off Patterson for second.

Minnesota IMCA Sprint Series returns with 10 race dates

ARLINGTON, Minn. (April 13, 2023) – After a three-year hiatus, the Minnesota IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series will return this summer with 10 dates at seven different tracks in four states. Main events each night pay $700 to win with $150 to start. IMCA draw/redraw procedures will be in effect at all tracks. $10,000-To-Win Captain of the Creek Returns to 141 Speedway Aug. 14-15

(July 23, 2026) — One of the richest Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod events of the season returns to 141 Speedway on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 14-15, as the eighth annual Captain of the Creek VIII takes center stage. Since its debut in 2019, the Captain of the Creek has become one of the Midwest’s premier IMCA SportMod specials. Matt Avila enters this year’s event looking to become the first three-time winner after capturing back-to-back titles in 2024 and 2025. Midstate Machine Championship Engines Return for 44th IMCA Super Nationals

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (July 23, 2026) — One of the most anticipated traditions of America’s Racin’ Vacation returns this September as Midstate Machine will once again provide four brand-new championship engines for the winners of Saturday night’s Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified, Sunoco IMCA Stock Car, Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod, and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock features at the 44th Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.
