Boone Speedway’s King of the Katwalks postponed

VINTON, Iowa (July 7, 2026) — The King of the Katwalks event for IMCA Stock Cars, originally scheduled for Saturday, July 18, at Boone Speedway, has been postponed. A new date for the $5,000-to-win IMCA special is yet to be determined. Regular weekly IMCA Stock Car point racing will remain on the July 18 race date.

Following discussions between Boone Speedway, IMCA officials and event sponsors, the decision was made to postpone the event due to multiple IMCA Stock Car special events scheduled at other IMCA-sanctioned racetracks in a week already packed full of high-paying IMCA Stock Car events.

The postponement is intended to provide the best possible opportunity for racers and fans while avoiding conflicts with other major IMCA Stock Car events.

“With several significant IMCA Stock Car specials taking place in Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin during the same time frame, everyone involved felt postponing King of the Katwalks was the right decision,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “Our goal is to give this event the opportunity to attract the strong field of competitors and fan support it deserves while continuing to support all IMCA-sanctioned tracks and promoters.”

If determined to be rescheduled, the date will be announced once it has been finalized, with additional information to be released through IMCA and Boone Speedway as it becomes available.

Eight are great and new to B & B All-Star eligibility

VINTON, Iowa (Feb. 26, 2024) – A flurry of early season specials saw eight IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers race their respective ways to B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying contention. Bo Partain won four Ernie Mincy Early Thaw features and an Arizona IMCA Tour event over the span of just 28 days. Other Early Thaw winners at Central Arizona Raceway were Brock Beeter, Trent Grager and Ken Schrader. Thomas Hall Jr. topped the Ice Breaker at Abilene Speedway before the Arizona IMCA Tour resumed and wins went to Larry Brigner, Ryan Roath and Brad Whitfield. Harris Auto Racing to Host Open House on September 3

The event offers a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at Harris Auto Racing, with shop tours and the chance to connect directly with team members. Guests will also be treated to a free lunch served during the event hours. First Washington entry getting back on track at Super Nationals

PUYALLUP, Wash. – Nine years after his last race, Will Taylor became the first Washington State driver to register for the 41st annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. An Arkansas native and traveling respiratory therapist by profession, Taylor is now working out of Puyallup. He’ll make the trip to Boone Speedway via Batesville, where Kevin Shaw is getting his 2005 Shaw ride race-ready. “This was a track championship winning car for Shawn Walsh,” said Taylor. “I’m hoping some of his good luck rubs off on me.” The upcoming Super Nationals are a bucket list race for Taylor, a proud member of the Shaw racing family and three-time spectator at America’s Racin’ Vacation, most recently in 2019. “I’ve been a part-time racer. Berry Goes Back-to-Back with Dominant Dakota Tour Win at Estevan

(July 6, 2026) — Tom Berry Jr. picked up right where he left off the night before, charging to the front early and surviving a late restart to win the second round of the 2026 Dakota Classic Modified Tour powered by Industrial Electric Monday night at Estevan Motor Speedway. Brady Bjella paced the opening lap of the 30-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature and quickly established a comfortable advantage while Tanner Black and Berry battled for second. Berry secured the runner-up position on lap five and immediately set his sights on the leader. Berry Capitalizes Late for Dakota Tour Victory at Nodak

(July 5, 2026) — Tom Berry Jr. capitalized on late-race misfortune for Ethan Braaksma and survived a frantic restart battle to win the opening round of the 2026 Dakota Classic Modified Tour powered by Industrial Electric Sunday night at Nodak Speedway. Braaksma, the two-time defending tour champion from Iowa, quickly established himself as the driver to beat in the 30-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature. Driving for car owners Danny Meier and Trent Guest, he led from the outset while Wyoming’s Bart Taylor steadily reeled him in during the opening half of the race. Taylor made several bids for the lead, but Braaksma turned each one away before gradually extending his advantage.
