$5,000-to-Win Geib Well & Water Sibley County Stock Car Shootout Returns July 29

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 29, 2026) — One of the Upper Midwest’s premier Sunoco IMCA Stock Car specials returns to Arlington Raceway on Wednesday, July 29, as the Geib Well & Water Sibley County Stock Car Shootout presented by Justice Brothers highlights the annual Sibley County Fair.

The marquee Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature pays $5,000 to win and $200 to start, with more than $30,000 in prize money and contingency awards available throughout the evening.

The Stock Car winner will also earn a guaranteed starting position in the 2026 B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational, held during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September at Boone Speedway.

In addition to the posted purse, competitors will race for lap money throughout the Stock Car feature. Random draw awards, hard charger honors, tough luck awards, longest tow awards, and several additional contingency prizes will also be distributed.

Defending Stock Car Shootout winner Dan Mackenthun of Hamburg returns after capturing his first Shootout victory in 2025. Mackenthun earned $6,825 for his performance, collecting the $5,000 winner’s share plus additional lap money after leading the feature.

Also on the card are the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, racing for $1,000 to win and $100 to start, and the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, which pay $500 to win and $50 to start. Both divisions will also feature random draw awards.

All three divisions will compete under a draw/redraw format.

SportMods and Hobby Stocks will compete for Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing National, Minnesota State, and track points. Stock Cars will race for Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing National, Minnesota State, and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region points, while Hobby Stocks will also compete for B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region points.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m., grandstands open at 5 p.m., and racing begins at 7. Pit passes are $35. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 11 and under.

Stien sprints to RaceSaver win at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 1, 2024) – Mike Stien led the distance Saturday at Arlington Raceway in winning his first IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature of the season. Stien started in the front row alongside Bruce Allen. The race behind them was Brett Allen moving forward and passing five cars to challenge. He tried to get under Stien a couple times but ran out of room on the track and settled for second ahead of Matt Johnson. Matt Looft repeated his winning ways from the previous week, topping both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod features. Tony Stephensmeier led the Northern SportMod feature for the first seven laps before a caution was thrown for a spinning car. IMCA features go 3-4-5 wide at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (Aug. 5, 2023) – The Sibley County Fair races provided three- and four- and even five-wide racing throughout the night in all divisions for the fans to enjoy Saturday at Arlington Raceway. The first feature saw Ben Davis lead the first four laps of the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock main but coming out of turn four he lost control of his car and allowed Cory Probst to take the lead from his 10th place start. Davis and Taylor Manderfield then had a good battle but Davis slid up and Manderfield was able to gain a position. On the next lap, Dan Probst was able to glide by both of those cars to take second behind son Cory. In the end, Cory Probst wins another feature with his dad taking second and Manderfield third. The Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts saw five-wide racing for the first lap until the field spread out and then again after a restart. Dan Grams Memorial checkers fly for Serbus

ARLINGTON, Minn. (July 13, 2024) – Extra money was on the line before and in the Rice Companies-sponsored IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature on Dan Grams Memorial Night Saturday at Arlington Raceway. Andrew Allen and Chris Graf each won heat races and earned $100 from GRP Motorsports. Then Allen won the foot race on the front stretch with the top 10 drivers to determine who would draw first, picking up $50 from Johnson Motorsports and a 55-gallon barrel of methanol from Rick and Jessica Linde and Joel and Katie Eckberg. In the feature, Brandon Allen was the early leader as he led the first seven laps until Trevor Serbus came up in turn four, saw an opening on the top and then made an awesome move, sliding under Allen to take the lead. They stayed in that 1-2 order through back-to-back cautions, when Brett Allen took the high groove and got around Brandon Allen to gain the second spot. McDaniel Scores Soares Memorial Modified Victory at Antioch

(June 27, 2026) — Ryan McDaniel led all 20 laps to capture Saturday night’s 11th Annual Soares Memorial race at Antioch Speedway, earning the $1,000 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified victory. The Olivehurst driver jumped into the lead at the drop of the green after winning his heat race and never relinquished the top spot despite three late cautions. Andrew Pearce stayed within striking distance throughout the feature, while Jonathan Hagio, Jim Pettit II, and Cody Burke battled intensely for third. Pettit claimed the position on lap 13 before Burke slipped by exiting the final corner after the last restart. A caution with two laps remaining, followed by another that set up a one-lap dash to the finish, gave Pearce one final opportunity, but McDaniel executed a flawless restart and drove away to score his first DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the season. McBirnie Rallies Past Meyer for Modified Triumph

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (June 25, 2026) — Jake McBirnie tracked down early leader Nick Meyer in the closing laps to capture the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature and the $1,850 Wild Bill Cook Memorial Shootout victory Thursday night at Kossuth County Speedway. Meyer controlled the opening stages and still led at the halfway point of the 20-lap contest, while McBirnie steadily reeled him in after starting third. The Boone driver completed the winning pass with five laps remaining and drove away to score his first Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season. The victory also came in a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifying event.
