Moore Prevails in Wild Grays Harbor Modified Showdown

ELMA, Wash. (June 27, 2026) — Kyler Moore survived an action-packed Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature Saturday night at Grays Harbor Raceway, winning a thrilling late-race duel with Tyson Blood to earn his first victory at the Elma oval in several seasons.

Moore took the lead from Kevin Vålen on lap four, but Blood kept the pressure on throughout the 25-lap main event. The closing eight circuits featured an intense battle as the pair traded slide jobs and the lead multiple times before Moore regained control and drove away with the victory, along with a $200 bonus courtesy of Mel Decker.

The Silverdale driver earned his second DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the season, with his two wins coming at different tracks.

Blood stormed from the 11th starting position to finish second, while Craig Moore recovered from an early lap-two incident and advanced from 10th on the grid to claim third. Brenton Schnitzer rebounded from an early work-area visit to finish fourth, with Zane Miner completing the top five.

Heat race victories went to Grey Ferrando, Jake Sorenson and Craig Moore. Tyson Blood earned Elma Lanes Hard Charger honors.

James Conquers Wild West Coast Modified Clash Finale at Grays Harbor

(May 24, 2026) — Bricen James made a late Saturday night decision to tow north to Grays Harbor Raceway pay off in a big way, capturing the 7th annual West Coast Modified Clash finale and the $2,500 top prize in Sunday’s Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature. After one of the wildest B Main finishes of the weekend, 24 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds rolled onto the 3/8-mile clay oval for the Memorial Day weekend finale. The initial start was called back after an incident deeper in the field. On the second attempt, Saturday winner and polesitter Grey Ferrando tangled with Collen Winebarger entering turn one, sending Ferrando spinning and forcing him to restart at the rear of the field. Wild West Modified Shootout returns, IMCA.TV to broadcast Aug. 6-14 series

By Ben Deatherage LEBANON, Ore. – After not being on the schedule in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Wild West IMCA Modified Shootout is back. Eight races will be run in nights at four race tracks in the Pacific Northwest. Not only will IMCA Modifieds be in attendance but the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern Sport Mods will accompany the tour in the first seven legs. Modified feature winners earn $1,000 and become eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Dakota Tour Set to Launch July 5 with Six Nights of Racing

Butt Edges Wroten in Photo Finish at Maquoketa

By Jerry Mackey MAQUOKETA, Iowa (June 27, 2026) — Carson Butt won one of the closest finishes of the season Saturday night at Maquoketa Speedway, edging Leah Wroten by just .024 seconds in a thrilling Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature. A stout field of 30 Hobby Stocks signed in, and officials elected to start the entire field in the main event. Racing remained remarkably clean with only a pair of minor cautions as competitors raced three- and four-wide throughout the feature. Wroten battled to the front and led several circuits before the 15-year-old Butt mounted a late charge from the 10th starting position. The pair took the white flag virtually side by side, with Butt diving to the extreme inside exiting turn four to nip Wroten at the finish line. Weldon Charges From 11th for Last-Lap Eagle Sprint Victory

(June 27, 2026) — Gaige Weldon completed an incredible charge from 11th on the starting grid, throwing a race-winning slide job on Brandon Horton coming to the checkered flag to capture a thrilling RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature Saturday night at Eagle Raceway. Nathan Weiler paced the opening lap before Monty Ferriera raced into the lead on lap two. Horton worked his way forward and grabbed the top spot with seven circuits remaining, but Weldon was slicing through the field. The Hinton, Iowa, driver climbed to second after passing both Tyler Drueke and Horton with just a handful of laps left, then threw a perfectly timed slider entering the final corners to steal the victory on the final lap.
