Spring Fling SportMod Nationals Set for June 12 at Hancock County Speedway

BRITT, Iowa (June 9, 2026) — A big night for the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods at Hancock County Speedway is set for Friday, June 12, as the Spring Fling SportMod Nationals presented by Gold-Eagle Cooperative comes to the historic oval.

The featured event will see SportMod competitors race for a $1,250 winner’s share, while a full slate of Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing action is also scheduled.

Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars will each compete for $1,000 to win, while Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks will race for a $500 top prize.

Both the Modified and Stock Car features will serve as qualifying events for the 2026 Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational and B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational, respectively, to be held during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September.

Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing National, Iowa State, track, and regional points will be awarded. Modified competitors will race for Razor Chassis North Central Region points, while Stock Car drivers will compete for EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region points and Hobby Stocks for B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region points.

The Spring Fling SportMod Nationals has become one of the premier early-summer events at Hancock County Speedway, attracting strong fields and giving fans an opportunity to watch some of the region’s top competitors battle for special-event money.

Strickler is best at Britt for IMCA Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour win

BRITT, Iowa (July 24) – There’s something about Hancock County Speedway that brings out the best in Kyle Strickler. Strickler led every lap in winning Tuesday’s Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour feature for IMCA Modifieds, earning $2,000 along with a spot on the 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Hunter Marriott followed his Monday night victory at Park Jefferson Speedway with a runner-up finish. He pressured Strickler throughout the first half of the race and was joined by Ryan Ruter in hot pursuit the last half. Strickler, however, was able to lengthen his lead on the rest of the field before taking the checkers. The victory was Strickler’s Dirt Knights Tour career third and all have been at Britt. Anderson takes tall trophy, big check from Hancock County’s IMCA SportMod Nationals

BRITT, Iowa (June 13, 2022) – Logan Anderson has a tall trophy and a big check to show for his first-ever visit to Hancock County Speedway. Anderson took over the front spot following a lap nine restart, then ran away from the field in winning the 30-lap Landus Cooperative IMCA SportMod Nationals and $2,500 Monday night at Britt. The last 15 laps of the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main event stayed green. Tenth starting and defending race winner Matt Looft was second and Josh Appel ended in third. “It’s exciting to go to a new track. Hancock County’s Hobo 100 has $4,000 IMCA Sunoco Stock Car top prize

BRITT, Iowa – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars get top billing at Hancock County Speedway’s Friday, July 27 Hobo 100, racing for a top prize of $4,000. Rounding out the card are IMCA Modifieds vying for $2,000 to win and a berth on the 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, while Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods run for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Iowa State, but no local track points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show. Pit gates open at 5 p.m., the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. and racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5-12 and free for four and under. Scott Cook Memorial One-Eye Nationals SportMod Special Set for June 11 at Kossuth County Speedway

By Ben Deatherage ALGONA, Iowa (June 9, 2026) — Kossuth County Speedway will honor the memory of Scott Cook with the Scott Cook Memorial One-Eye Nationals SportMod Special on Thursday, June 11. The Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods will headline the evening with a lucrative $1,000-to-win feature. An additional $100 bonus will be awarded to the winner if 24 SportMods are entered, pushing the top prize to $1,100. The special-event purse pays $800 for second, $700 for third, $500 for fourth, $400 for fifth, $300 for sixth, and $200 for seventh. Positions eighth through 24th will each receive $100. IMCA Wild West Speedweek Set to Storm Oregon Border to Border June 13–20
