COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (June 5, 2026) — Jordan Miles continued his impressive rookie campaign Friday night at CJ Speedway, charging from eighth to win the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature.

The Bernard driver made his third appearance of the season at the southeast Iowa oval and collected his second EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the year, with both wins coming at CJ.

Miles quickly worked his way to the front and overtook Austin O’Donnell for the lead before driving away for the victory. Nathan Wood, a five-time winner at the track this season, rallied from ninth to finish second while Norman Bean closed strong in the late stages to take third. Dustin Griffiths and Brock Haines completed the top five.

Mohr Prevails in Modified Slider Fest

Charlie Mohr of Bettendorf captured his first CJ Speedway Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature victory after surviving a thrilling battle with Kyle Brown.

Mohr launched from the front row and quickly found speed on the high side of the racetrack. Brown, meanwhile, sliced through the field from the 10th starting position and eventually tracked down the leader.

The pair exchanged sliders multiple times, with both drivers spending laps at the front of the field before Mohr finally secured the advantage when it mattered most.

The victory was Mohr’s third Razor Chassis North Central Region win of the season and came at his third different track in 2026.

Brown finished second while Kurt Kile delivered one of the night’s strongest drives, advancing from 12th to third. Dan Brockert crossed the stripe fourth and Chad Simpson rounded out the top five.

Heckart Charges from Ninth for SportMod Victory

Tyler Heckart put together an impressive drive in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature.

The Ottumwa driver started ninth and steadily worked his way through the field before taking the lead away from Levi Laymon. Once out front, Heckart maintained command to score his second victory of the season.

Both of Heckart’s 2026 wins have come at CJ Speedway.

Laymon finished second while Justin Heuer completed the podium in third. Colton Zaputil and Justin Schroeder rounded out the top five.

Richardson Returns to Victory Lane

College commitments have limited Tucker Richardson’s racing schedule in recent seasons, but the Morning Sun driver made the most of his opportunity Friday night.

Richardson led every lap of the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature to score his first B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region victory of the season.

Kyler Burmeister kept the pressure on throughout the race and finished second. Dalton Weepie crossed the line third, followed by Karter Miles and Brayden Wood.
