Ryan Lynn Returns to Bedford Victory Lane After Decade-Long Wait

BEDFORD, Pa. (May 29, 2026) — The Laurel Highlands Sprint Car Series made its third visit of the season to Bedford Speedway on Friday night, and Hollidaysburg’s Ryan Lynn turned in a dominant performance to capture his first Bedford Speedway victory of 2026.

Starting from the pole, Lynn quickly established himself as the driver to beat in the 20-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature. The veteran racer maintained control throughout the contest while fending off challenges from a talented field eager to deny him a return trip to victory lane.

The win was especially meaningful for Lynn, who celebrated his first Bedford Speedway triumph in a decade. Following the race, Lynn credited recent gains in speed and setup improvements discovered at Hagerstown Speedway for helping propel his recent success.

Colton Hendershot finished second after starting third, while Mikell McGee completed the podium in third. Dylan Shatzer crossed the stripe fourth, and Jarrett Cavalet advanced from seventh to round out the top five.

Earlier in the evening, Shatzer and Kasey Weaver scored victories in Laurel Highlands Sprint Car Series heat race competition.

Heffner hoists Hagerstown hardware

By Jim Haines HAGERSTOWN, Md. (June 15, 2024) – The annual Dad’s Night Out Race at Hagerstown Speedway didn’t disappoint from Kenny Heffner’s perspective. Heffner led the distance in winning the Saturday event, contended by 41 IMCA RaceSaver sprinters and co-sanctioned by the Virginia Sprint Series, Laurel Highlands Sprint Series and Pennsylvania Sprint Series. AJ Barton and Heffner paced the feature field to green with Heffner inching out front up top as Barton stayed low and stayed close with Zac Rhodes quickly in third with Tim Iulg and Austin Reed rounding out the early top five. Duke Dominates at Hagerstown

(Aug. 2, 2025) — Just one night after parking it in victory lane at Clinton County Speedway, Ken Duke Jr. made it two in a row by cruising to another Virginia Sprint Series win Saturday at Hagerstown Speedway. The event, co-sanctioned with the Laurel Highlands Sprint Series, drew a strong field of 22 RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars. Ryan Lynn and Josh Shantz led the field to green with Shantz jumping out front early and Lynn settling into second. But Duke was on the move from the drop of the flag, quickly working his way forward. Following a lap two caution for a quick spin, Shantz led the restart, but Duke wasted no time charging low to grab the lead. Grube leads the way to Hagerstown checkers

(May 22) – Dave Grube topped the 25-car field Saturday night in a Hagerstown Speedway event co-sanctioned by the Virginia Sprint Series and Laurel Highland Sprint Series. Donny Hendershot and Alex Schmiedel paced the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car field to green and Hendershot out first but nobody was getting away. While leading on lap three, Hendershot slowed to a stop and Grube took over on the restart, bringing Brad Mellott with him. The laps went by quickly on the wide smooth oval as Grube and Mellott entered lapped traffic with Jerald Harris and Dylan Shatzer closing in. Shatzer got by Harris for third and was working on Mellott, allowing Grube to start inching away as the two raced for second. Bittner Sweeps Weekend with Selinsgrove PASS Victory

By Frank Buhrman SELINSGROVE, Pa. (May 30, 2026) — Timmy Bittner’s summer is off to a pretty good start. The Beech Creek driver slipped past race-long leader Mike Alleman in lapped traffic with five laps remaining and held on to win Saturday night’s 20-lap River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series feature at Selinsgrove Speedway. The victory completed a weekend sweep for Bittner, who also captured Friday night’s RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature at Clinton County Speedway. The two wins further strengthened his position atop both the national and Pennsylvania RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car standings. Bittner won his heat race before quickly advancing from fourth to second in the feature. While he remained within striking distance of Alleman throughout the race, traffic proved to be the deciding factor. Mackenthun Capitalizes Late for Arlington Stock Car Victory

(May 30, 2026) — Dan Mackenthun used a late restart to his advantage and charged from the 11th starting position to win the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Arlington Raceway. Ryan Bjerkeset led the majority of the race while drivers behind him battled two and three wide throughout the field. Dave Moriarty spent much of the event trying to track down the leader while Mackenthun steadily worked his way through traffic. A late caution changed everything when Garrett Uecker made contact with the retaining wall in turn three, ending his night and setting up a crucial restart. Mackenthun capitalized on the opportunity, taking over the lead and driving away for his fourth EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season. The Hamburg veteran has now won at three different tracks in 2026 and scored his first Arlington Raceway triumph of the year. Bittner Becomes First Repeat RaceSaver Winner at Clinton County

MILL HALL, Pa. (May 29, 2026) — Timmy Bittner became the first repeat RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car winner at Clinton County Speedway this season, racing to victory Friday night at the Mill Hall oval. The Beech Creek driver earned his third overall victory of 2026 and second at Clinton County Speedway this year. After Cory Stabley led the field to the green flag, Bittner charged into the lead by the completion of the opening lap and never relinquished the top spot. Jeffrey Weaver settled into second early while Dale Schweikart held third as the leaders established their positions. By lap five, Bittner paced Weaver, Schweikart, Josh Beamer, and Stabley. From there, Bittner maintained control of the feature and kept the field at bay to secure the victory. Weaver crossed the stripe in second while Schweikart completed the podium in third. Beamer finished fourth and Stabley rounded out the top five.
