Belcher Captures Sean Lias Memorial Victory at Woodhull Raceway

By Evan Canfield SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. (Aug. 15) – In a season filled with highs and lows, Rodney Morgan finally found some redemption at Penn Can Speedway. After destroying his car in the season opener at the same facility, he was able to come back to the Susquehanna oval and capture his first NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series victory on Sunday, earning $1,000 and Fast Shafts All-Star qualifying eligibility. Aaron Benjamin and J.W. Lamphere set the pace for the 25-lap feature but the start was anything but smooth. A single car spin, a stack-up at the rear of the field and a multi-car pileup set the tone for the opening laps, with three consecutive cautions keeping the race from getting underway.  Once under the green flag, Benjamin jumped out to an early lead. (June 30, 2023) – Brad Sites didn’t let anyone stay close the last four times around the track in winning the Friday night Close Racing Supply NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by MR Grafix main event at The Hill Speedway. Sites’ first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified tour win of 2023 paid $1,000 and earned Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility for the 2021 series champion as well. Rodney Morgan, Gary Roberts, Matt Benjamin and Keith Lamphere completed the top five. Roberts picked up the Flow Force Pressure Services Hard Charger award after coming from the 13th starting position. The show at Monroeton saw 20 drivers vie in a 25-lap feature and Clayton Tarabori and Gary Lamphere brought the field to green. (April 30, 2022) – After a solid season in 2021, the off-season was not kind to Eddie Sites and his brother, Close Racing Supply NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Precision Hydraulic & Oil defending champion Brad Sites. On Feb. 13th, their race shop burned to the ground, causing them to lose much of their racing organization. Fortunately, nobody was hurt and their cars were able to be salvaged.  On Saturday night, with burnt panels on the sides of the black and blue no. 15 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified, Eddie Sites was able to overcome their winter setback and put his machine back in victory lane in the 2022 series opener at Skyline Raceway Motorsports Park.  Eddie Sites and Keith Jack Lamphere started on the front row after a full field redraw.
