Aiken Charges From Eighth to Open 2026 With Mod Lite Victory at Hendry County

CLEWISTON, Fla. (Jan. 17, 2026) — The Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites at Hendry County Motorsports Park opened their 2026 season with a strong showing and a statement performance from Superior Race Cars, led by a patient and calculated drive by Pierce Aiken in the feature.

Aiken started eighth on the grid and methodically worked his way forward, advancing one position at a time as the race unfolded. Pole-sitter Dylan Permann controlled the early pace, leading the first 12 laps while keeping the field in check.

The turning point came on a restart on lap 12, when Aiken powered past Permann to take command of the race. From there, the Lake Worth racer remained smooth and consistent, never relinquishing the top spot on his way to the opening Mod Lite victory of the 2026 season.

Larry Hubbard mounted a strong charge to finish second after starting fourth and slipping back early in the event. Justin Thibodeau followed with a solid third-place run.

Permann’s night took a turn shortly after losing the lead when he jumped the cushion in turns three and four, allowing competitors to slip by, but he regrouped to finish fourth. Québécois driver John François Leblanc rounded out the top five.

Ronnie Choate Sweeps Thursday Night Action At Hendry County

By Ben Deatherage CLEWISTON, Fla. (Feb. 6, 2025) — Ronnie Choate took home all the hardware on the opening night of the 6th Annual Sugar Bowl at Hendry County Motorsports Park. While all 44 Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites had the opportunity to practice and dial their cars in, a select group of drivers participated in the prestigious Race of Champions and Manufacturers Dash—both of which were won by the Cookeville, Tennessee native. The Race of Champions kicked off with reigning Benton Speedway titleholder John Leahy seizing the early lead. However, Choate quickly closed the gap, and on lap three, he motored around the Missourian to take command. Once out front, Choate was untouchable. Thrilling IMCA STARS Mod Lite Action Kicks Off 2025 at Hendry County

IMCA STARS Mod Lites head to Hendry County for $5,000 to win Winter Nationals main event

CLEWISTON, Fla. (Feb. 12) – IMCA STARS Mod Lites are Hendry County Motorsports Park bound and racing for $5,000 to win on the second night of their weekend Winter Nationals twinbill. Tonight’s feature at Clewiston pays $750 to win and $225 to start, with $50 tow while the Saturday, Feb. 13 main event, part of the Sugar Bowl program, pays $5,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. National special events sponsor Yoshimura adds another $500 in bonuses to eligible podium finishers on Saturday. Friday sees the drivers’ meeting at 7 p.m. and racing following 8 p.m. hot laps. Lund Rules Prelude to IMCA TV Winter Nationals Stock Car Feature at Casa Grande

(Jan. 18, 2026) — Curt Lund was victorious in the Prelude to the IMCA TV Winter Nationals on Sunday night at Central Arizona Raceway, leading all 20 laps of the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature to claim the $1,000 win in the EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region. The Redwood Falls, Minnesota driver took command immediately from the three-wide start after rolling off from the front row of the outside column, setting the pace in the 28-car feature.
