Werner Rules Dirt Stars Modified Main at Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa (Sept. 26, 2025) — In Friesen Performance IMCA Modified action at Davenport Speedway’s Dirt Stars event, Matt Werner picked up his second Davenport trophy of the season. Werner led nearly every lap of the race, mostly using the high side of the racetrack. Denny Eckrich was able to squeeze into the lead on lap 13, but Werner retook the top spot the following lap.

Spencer Diercks climbed his way forward for a second-place finish. Eckrich held on to third, followed by Tim Ward and Charlie Mohr.

Longnecker Scores First Davenport SportMod Win

Hunter Longnecker captured his first-ever Davenport win in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods. Austin Kemp led the opening lap after starting on the pole. Levi Heath took over on lap two and held the lead until lap 13.

Longnecker, who started 12th, picked off spots one by one before grabbing the lead on lap 13. He held it the rest of the way. Tony Olson passed Heath late in the race for second. Kevin Goben and Austin Kemp rounded out the top five.

Graham Goes the Distance in Hobby Stocks

The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature was plagued by several early cautions. Once the field settled into green-flag racing, it was all Bradley Graham of Victor. Graham took the lead on lap two and never looked back.

Jordan Miles turned in a strong run to finish second, while Corey VanDerwilt, Kolby Sabin and Matt Bennett completed the top five.

Raffurty Rolls to Mod Lite Victory

Dillon Raffurty made the long trek from Kansas City pay off with a win in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites. Raffurty took the lead on lap four and went untouched the rest of the way, despite several caution periods and one red flag.

Dan Keltner started deep in the field and raced his way to second by lap eight. He would get no closer and settled for the runner-up finish. Bryan Zehm, Darrick Knutsen and Michael Raffurty rounded out the top five.
