Stock Car Stars Ready for B&B All-Star Invitational at Boone

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4) – Dillon Raffurty started and ended his night in victory lane while Bryan Zehm ended his own night in the track where he started his racing career. Both topped STARS Mod Lite qualifying features as the division made its IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s debut during the Saturday Wild Rose Casino Prelude at Boone Speedway. Raffurty had won the first race of champions qualifying heat, then started the first qualifying feature from outside row three. Dustin Rude led the first five laps before Andrue Halpain and Clayton Hogie got together in turn three to bring the race to a complete stop. BOONE, Iowa – For the seventh straight year, Casey’s General Store and IMCA will give back to men and women of the armed services who have given so much. Representatives of Hope For The Warriors will attend the Saturday, Sept. 7 race program at Boone Speedway, during the 37th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Ankeny-based Casey’s General Stores, the presenting sponsor for Super Nationals, donates $10 for each heat race won by a Modified, Late Model, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod or Sport Compact driver displaying a Casey’s decal between Sept. 2 and Sept. 6.  IMCA matches the amount given by Casey’s. The official convenience store of IMCA, Casey’s has supported Hope For The Warriors with previ­ous fundraisers that include donations made at Super Nationals every year since 2013 that now total $30,000. BOONE, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds race for $3,000 to win and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $1,000 to win, with All-Star Invitational ballot berths at stake for both divisions this Saturday at Boone Speedway. The May 1 Hawkeye 100 program also features a $1,000 feature for Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods. Pit passes are $45 and adult admission to the grandstand is $40. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at 5:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
