FARLEY, Iowa (Aug. 13, 2025) — The 48th annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic, presented by GTG Peterbilt – Cedar Rapids, takes the green Thursday and Friday, August 28–29, at 300 Raceway. Two big nights of racing will showcase some of the region’s best, with large payouts on the line and music after the races both nights.
Thursday’s program includes $1,200 to win and $150 to start for the Friesen Performance IMCA Late Models, $1,000 to win and $100 to start for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, $1,000 to win and $100 to start for the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, $500 to win and $75 to start for the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods, and $300 to win and $40 to start for the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks. Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m., grandstands at 5:00 p.m., with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing to follow. Grandstand admission is $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors ages 12–17, and free for kids 11 and under. Pit passes are $35 for adults, $20 for ages 5–12, and free for kids 4 and under with a guardian.
Friday’s finale offers $3,000 to win and $200 to start for the Stock Cars, $2,000 to win and $200 to start for the Late Models, $2,000 to win and $200 to start for the Modifieds, $1,500 to win and $100 to start for the Northern SportMods, and $1,500 to win and $100 to start for the Hobby Stocks. Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m., grandstands at 5:00 p.m., with racing starting at 6:45 p.m. There are no hot laps. Grandstand admission is $25 for adults, $18 for students and seniors ages 12–17, and free for kids 11 and under. Pit passes are $40 for adults, $20 for ages 5–12, and free for kids 4 and under with a guardian.
Entry fees for IMCA divisions are $40 for Late Models on Thursday and $75 on Friday, $25 for Modifieds on Thursday and $50 on Friday, $25 for Stock Cars on Thursday and $100 on Friday, and no entry fee for Northern SportMods or Hobby Stocks on Thursday. On Friday, Northern SportMods and Hobby Stocks each have a $30 entry fee.
Reserved backstretch parking spots and camping spaces remain available, with water and electric hookups offered for campers. Music will follow the final checkered flag both nights, with drink specials available, and the entire event will be streamed live on IMCA TV affiliate Done Right TV.
