ALGONA, Iowa (Aug. 7, 2025) — Chaz Baca Jr. and Joel Rust brought the 21-car Friesen Performance IMCA Modified field to the flagstand for the green at Kossuth County Speedway on night four of the 2025 Iowa Speedweek and the Schattschneider Memorial. Baca led the first three laps around the Algona oval before Jeremy Mills powered into the lead on lap four.

Once out front, Mills built a commanding advantage and never looked back, collecting his fourth feature win of the season at Algona and a $2,000 payday. The victory was also his 11th of 2025 in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Tim Ward finished second for $1,200, with Baca third and $1,100 richer.

Shryock Strikes for Seventh Algona Stock Car Win

McCain Jennings jumped out to the early lead in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main, pacing the first three laps before Shryock took over. The caution flew on lap seven when Kevin Opheim spun in turn four, but Shryock maintained the top spot on the restart.

A hard-charging Derek Green, wheeling a Schattschneider tribute No. 56, worked his way from 12th into contention. Another yellow for debris on lap 16 briefly slowed the action, but Shryock pulled away for his seventh Algona win of 2025 and 16th EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the year. Green’s runner-up finish was worth $1,200, while Jennings took third and $1,100.
