EAGLE, Neb. (Jul. 12, 2025) —  Chad Andersen put on a clinic in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event at Eagle Raceway, leading all 18 laps from the pole. Once out front, Andersen was untouchable, setting a relentless pace and building a lead of nearly three seconds by the time the checkered flag waved. The caution-free contest played perfectly into his hands as the field stretched out behind him.

Kyle Vanover gave chase but couldn’t close the gap, finishing a solid second. Benji Legg completed the top three. Andersen’s victory was his third win of the season at both Eagle and in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region.

Richards Rockets to Hobby Stock Victory in Green-White-Checkered Finish

Dillon Richards stormed to victory in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature, which went the full 18 laps plus a green-white-checkered finish. Brad Schreiner had paced the field for most of the race before a multi-car incident set up a dramatic final restart. Richards made his move late, surging past Schreiner on the bottom to take the win.

Neil Pella also capitalized on the restart, sneaking into third after starting mid-pack. Schreiner had to settle for second after a strong early run. Richards’ win was his 33rd of the year with 25 coming in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region.

Homan Hustles to Second Modified Win of Season

Clint Homan wasted little time in taking control of the 20-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. From his starting spot, he slipped into the lead early and never looked back. Homan hit his marks flawlessly, especially in the final five laps as lapped traffic came into play. The surface favored momentum, and Homan capitalized with smooth, consistent laps.

Shawn Harker stayed within striking distance for most of the race but couldn’t mount a serious challenge and settled for second. Mike Densberger rounded out the podium after running a steady race. The win was Homan’s second of the season in the Jet Racing Central Region.

Schouten Slides to First SportMod Win at Eagle

Arie Schouten picked up his first Eagle Raceway win of the season in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod division with a mid-race pass and commanding finish. Running the middle groove to perfection, Schouten worked his way to the front and maintained the lead through several late-race challenges. It was a well-earned win on a track that required both patience and bravery.

Cole Wayman kept the pressure on in the closing circuits and held off Dion Kovar for second place by inches at the line.

Pike Powers to First Eagle Triumph

Gunnar Pike finally conquered his home track, winning his first-ever RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature in a wild, caution-filled 25-lapper. Early incidents, including multiple rollovers and mechanical issues, shuffled the front of the field several times, allowing Pike to seize opportunities with aggressive restarts and timely moves.

He grabbed the lead after Jacob Dye was overtaken on a choose-cone restart, then held off Joey Danley and Dye through the final stretch. Despite the chaos, Pike kept his cool during the longest green-flag run late in the race and never looked back.

Joey Danley kept Pike honest in the final laps but couldn’t find a way around. Jacob Dye, who had set fast time in qualifying, came home third after working through heavy traffic and late-race chaos.
