Meirhofer Masters MODtana Madness in $5,000 Modified Thriller at Gallatin

BELGRADE, Mont. (Jun. 28, 2025) — Jeremy Meirhofer came out on top of a wild 55-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature to win the 2025 edition of MODtana Madness at Gallatin Speedway and earn the $5,000 payday.

Two-time Montana State champion Cory Craver paced the field early, grabbing the lead on lap one and holding firm through several interruptions. Craver navigated lapped traffic by lap eight and held back a strong charge from two-time and reigning track champion Jordan Tocci following a caution on lap 14.

A scheduled fuel stop at lap 23 briefly reset the field. On the restart, Craver kept Tocci behind him again before another pair of cautions on laps 28 and 34 bunched up the pack.

Craver took advantage of the battle between Tocci and four-time Montana State champion and five-time Gallatin Speedway titlist Jeremy Meirhofer to extend his lead. Tocci eventually cleared Meirhofer and caught Craver, making a pass for the lead on lap 46. Craver immediately countered with a crossover in turns three and four, but a caution erased the exchange and reset the field with Craver still out front. Shortly after, Braxton Yeager—Sweetwater Speedway’s 2022 champion—made a bid for the lead of his own, only for another yellow to nullify that attempt as well.

On the final restart, Meirhofer, Craver, and Yeager went three-wide for the lead, with Meirhofer emerging with the advantage. From there, the Belgrade native checked out to collect his first win of the 2025 season in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. He also became the third different driver to win the event in as many years.

Yeager settled for second while 16-year-old Tyler Leach made a late-race surge to complete the podium in third.

The event was also a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier, and Meirhofer now has a chance to compete in the race later this summer during the 2025 Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s

IMCA Modifieds race for $5,000 at Gallatin’s Modtana Madness special

BELGRADE, Mont. (June 15, 2023) – Big money is at stake for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds in Big Sky Country. Gallatin Speedway’s first annual Modtana Madness presented by NAPA Auto Parts is slated Friday, June 30-Saturday, July 1 and boasts a $5,000 top prize. While the winner gets the biggest check and becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, the runner-up takes home $3,000 and third place pays $2,000. Drivers finishing in the top 10 bank at least $1,000 and making the main event pays $400. IMCA MODtana Madness win is top payday of career for Clemens

BELGRADE, Mont. (June 29, 2024) – A career-best payday awaited Ty Clemens at the conclusion of Gallatin Speedway’s 55-lap MODtana Madness main event. Clemens collected $5,000 plus qualifying eligibility for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational along with the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified checkers Saturday at his hometown track. “We worked really hard for this last year and again this year. BELGRADE, Mont. (July 1, 2023) – Ricky Alvarado started his 2023 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified racing vacation with the $5,000 checkers at Gallatin Speedway’s inaugural Modtana Madness special. Schnitzer Scores Grays Harbor Win, Takes Over Modified Points Lead

(Jun. 28, 2025) — Jason Tole showed early speed by leading the opening lap of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Grays Harbor Raceway, but Brenton Schnitzer stole the spotlight with a thrilling move on lap one. Schnitzer executed a daring two-for-one pass to take second, then quickly powered into the lead on lap two. From there, he was never challenged en route to his second win of the 2025 season at GHR and in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. Snellenberger Snags Eagle River Speedway $1,000 Payday

(Jul. 1, 2025) — Rod Snellenberger of Pulaski, the 2008 Sunoco IMCA Stock Car National champion and defending Eagle River Speedway track champion, passed Junior Karcz for the lead on lap eight and held off hometown driver Jason Zdroik to win the $1,000-to-win feature Tuesday during the Mark Zdroik Memorial. The victory marked Snellenberger’s fourth EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region win of 2025, his third at Eagle River this season, and the 232nd of his IMCA Stock Car career. Dave Bouche jumped into the lead from his pole position at the drop of the green of the 20 lap contest. Bouche mixed it up with Karcz in the first few circuits until a caution flew when Wausau’s Mitch Stankowski stalled on the frontstretch. On the restart, Cole Czarneski blasted into the second spot, and a three car dual ensued for the lead between Bouche, Czarneski and Snellenberger. Wyssbrod Breaks Through at Angell Park for First Career Modified Win

By Ben Deatherage SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (Jun. 29, 2025) – Brandon Schmitt looked poised to become a three-time winner at Angell Park Speedway on Sunday night, but Monroe’s Trent Wyssbrod had other plans. Schmitt took the lead from Hayden Schmuhl on lap two of the 20-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature and led through the race’s only caution on lap six. Wyssbrod applied steady pressure following the restart and ran door-to-door with Schmitt for multiple laps before dropping back with about 10 to go. But lapped traffic changed everything with two laps remaining. Both Schmitt and Wyssbrod cleared the slower cars cleanly, but Wyssbrod got the run he needed and drove underneath the two-time King of the Park winner on the backstretch coming to the white flag. He would lead at both the white and checkered flags to secure his first-ever IMCA Modified victory and a $1,000 payday in the Razor Chassis North Central Region.
