Moore Picks Up Second Win of the Year at Grays Harbor

ELMA, Wash. (Jun. 15, 2025) — Brian Izzi got the jump on the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified field at Grays Harbor Raceway from his outside front row starting spot and led the early laps of the main event. On lap three, contact occurred in a battle for seventh, eighth, and ninth between Jason Tole, Tyson Blood, and Riley Scherer. Scherer and Blood got together, sending Blood spinning to a stop and ending his night early.

Austin Rognlin took over the lead on the restart, with Craig Moore sliding into third and then passing Izzi for second a lap later. Rognlin built a healthy lead through lap 10, but Moore slowly began to reel him in as the leaders encountered lapped traffic. Moore capitalized and made the pass for the lead on lap 21.

A late restart gave Rognlin one last chance, but the veteran Moore held on to score his second win of the year at GHR and in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. Rognlin settled for second, with Jason Tole rounding out the podium in third.

Jesse Williamson Wins 2021 Shipwreck Beads Northwest Modified Nationals

By Aaron Reed ELMA, Wash. (July 24) – He was “OK” in finishing fifth in Friday’s race of champions. Jesse Williamson was better than that in the Saturday Shipwreck Beads IMCA Modified Nationals main event at Grays Harbor Raceway. Williamson worked his way up from ninth starting and led the last 15 circuits of the 40-lapper headliner at Elma, earning $2,500 and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. “I started working the top line to the middle and kind of passed everybody on top,” said Williamson, also the 2009 Shipwreck Beads winner. “It feels pretty good to have this kind of success with a new car (a recently built SDMF Chassis). Moore Outduels Blood in Wild Grays Harbor Modified Thriller

(Apr. 26, 2025) — Craig Moore of Seabeck led all 25 laps of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Grays Harbor Raceway, but to earn his first win of the 2025 season in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region was anything but easy. Moore took command at the drop of the green, quickly distancing himself from Scott Miller while the action behind was absolute chaos. The race from third through eighth went two- and even three-wide early on, as Tyson Blood carved his way forward from the 10th starting position. IMCA Northern SportMods, Hobby Stocks new at Grays Harbor in 2022

ELMA, Wash. – Two more IMCA divisions debut on the dirt in Washington in 2022, with Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks joining select Saturday night programs at Grays Harbor Raceway. Northern SportMod race dates are May 14, June 25 during the third annual West Coast Modified Clash and July 22 and 23, as part of the 23rd annual Shipwreck Beads Nationals. $7,500-to-Win Modified Nationals Returns to Grays Harbor Raceway July 18–19

(June 18, 2025) — One of the biggest Friesen Performance Modified races in the Pacific Northwest returns for its 26th running, as the Modified Nationals takes center stage at Grays Harbor Raceway on Friday and Saturday, July 18–19. The event pays an impressive $7,500 to win and $200 to start Saturday’s 40-lap main event, with over $20,000 in total purse money up for grabs. This IMCA-sanctioned special will feature two nights of intense racing. On Friday, all drivers will compete in two heat races — the first lined up straight-up by pill draw, the second fully inverted by original draw order. Barker Banks $5,000 RTI Nationals Win at Park Jefferson

(Jun. 15, 2025) — The Sunday night RTI Nationals brought a packed house to Park Jefferson International Speedway with a whopping $5,000 payday on the line for the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars. And it was two-time South Dakota State champion Travis Barker who cashed in. Barker, who started seventh, muscled his way through a hard-fought 35-lap main event. Early on, Brady Wenzlaff controlled the race while three-time Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod winner, Johnathon Logue, and Devin Tripp waged a three-wide battle for the top spot. Driver and Fan Appreciation Night Set for July 5 at 34 Raceway with Free Admission and Giveaways Galore
