ELMA, Wash. (May 14, 2025) — The 6th Annual West Coast Modified Clash will roar into Grays Harbor Raceway over Memorial Day weekend with two complete shows for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods, along with a post-race fireworks spectacular on Sunday night.

The Modified Clash kicks off on Saturday, May 24, with a $2,000-to-win feature for the IMCA Modifieds, locking in the top four finishers for Sunday’s $2,500-to-win finale. The SportMods will run two separate, point-paying shows each night, with $600 on the line for each feature.

“This is the start of our summer schedule, and we’re excited to showcase the Modified Clash with two nights of intense IMCA Modified and SportMod action,” said Bert Johnson, manager of Grays Harbor Raceway.

Entry fees are $80 for Modifieds and $40 for SportMods. All entry forms and rules are available on the Grays Harbor Raceway website under the Modified Clash section on the rules page. Complete event details can be found at www.graysharborraceway.com/rules/.

Cars will hot lap with their heat race group, with all competitors running two heats of eight laps each. The first set of heats will be straight up by pill draw, while the second set will be fully inverted based on the original heat line-up. Points will be awarded for finishing and passing positions.

On Saturday, the Top 16 in points will advance to the A Main, with up to 18 cars in the B Main transferring eight cars to the A Main. The A Main will consist of 24 cars running 35 laps.

Sunday’s format will include the top four finishers from Saturday’s A Main, who will be locked into the front two rows of Sunday’s feature. The remaining four spots in the top eight will be determined by the top four in heat points on Sunday. Those eight drivers will then run a six-lap dash to set the starting order for the A Main. Sunday’s A Main will consist of 24 cars racing 30 laps. B Mains will transfer four cars to the A Main on Sunday.

Advance tickets for both nights are available online. Pricing for both Saturday and Sunday is $19.00 for Adults ages 18-61, $16.00 for Juniors ages 7-17, Seniors 62 and older, and Active Military.
