Buckarma bags $750 payday at Outagamie

SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 29, 2022) – Nick Buckarma outlasted Clint Forstner to score his first IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win of the season, good for $750 and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star qualifying eligibility, Saturday night as 108 racers checked to do battle at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC.

Forstner drew the pole and led until Buckarma used the outside groove to slip by up top on the third lap. Forstner went back to work down low, retaking the lead on the 12th lap.

The duo raced side-by-side the remainder of the event with Kyle Frederick a close third. With two laps remaining, Buckarma was able to find the momentum up top to grab the top spot once again. Buckarma held on by a fender to score a thrilling win. Forstner was second, Frederick took third, Wyatt Block placed fourth and Brett Wenzel completed the top five.  

In Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod action it was Skyler Woods taking command early on as last week’s winner Jake Carpenter worked his way through the field from row six.

A caution on the 10th circuit erased a sizable advantage for Woods. Carpenter restarted third, immediately took second and set his on the leader. With Woods running the cushion, Carpenter began to navigate the low groove.

On the final corner, Carpenter threaded the needle down low to slip by Woods and score his third win a row. Woods was forced to settle for second, Cory Kemkes stayed in the title fight with a third place run, Cole Czarneski was fourth and Ryan Besaw placed fifth.  

Rookie Jayden Schmidt took the lead away from Hunter Parsons on lap six of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature and never looked back to score his second win of the season.

Parsons had his best run of the season to place second, Wyatt Block took third, Cody Shroeder was fourth and, after having problems in his heat, Dan Roedl completed the top five. The contest went green to checkers. 

Thomas Schulte scored his second Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature win of the season. Taylor Yunk was second and rookie Collyn Jorgenson placed third. For Schulte it was also a clean sweep as he picked up the heat race win earlier in the night.

Whitman goes back-to-back at Outagamie

(June 2, 2023) – Fresh off a heat race win, Wyatt Block looked to be the man to beat early in Friday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Outagamie Speedway. Last week’s winner Johnny Whitman joined the battle for the top spot before the midway point but with both drivers running the same line, Block was in control. That all changed once Block hit lapped traffic and had to move around the track. Once Block was deep in traffic, Whitman threw a slider in turn three, pinning Block behind a lap car. Whitman took over the top spot and dominated the remainder of the event. Block had to settle for second, Konnor Wilinski took third and fourth went to Lucas Lamberies.   It’s not over till it’s over and that was the case in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods feature, a thriller between Corey Kemkes and Brady Harshbarger. Rookie Czarneski races to first IMCA Modified win 

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 9, 2023) – Rookie Cole Czarneski raced to his career first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Czarneski rocketed from his front row starting spot, building a sizable advantage over Marcus Yarie. Midway through the contest Yarie began to close in as Czarneski worked through lapped traffic. With five laps to go, Yarie made his move down low as Czarneski was locked behind a lapped car. The pass was for naught however as the lone caution flew. Once in clean air on the restart, Czarneski pulled away for his first feature win in the IMCA Modifieds. Yarie raced with a lot of respect and took second, Wyatt Block was third and Benji LaCrosse rounded out the top five.   A $1,000 payday awaited the winner of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event. Wilson, Rhodes race to first IMCA wins at Outagamie

By Edward Anschutz  SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 19) – The weather held off for fans and racers who joined Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC for night number two. Fans were greeted to 128 cars doing battle. Hunter Parsons looked to be the man to beat early in the IMCA Modified feature as he pulled out to an early lead. Parsons paced the field with Jason Czarapata, Brian Mullen and Tyler Wilson giving chase. Czarapata’s night came to an abrupt end as his machine lost the right rear wheel just past the midway point. With the field bunched up Wilson went to work down low, wrestling the lead away on lap 14. Wilson pulled away for his first win in the Modified ranks. Parsons had to the settle for second at the pay window, Wyatt Block rallied to place third, Mullen was fourth and Mar­cus Yarie completed the top five.
