DUBUQUE, Iowa (June 3) – Joel Callahan topped the strong field of IMCA Modified drivers in in scoring the 20-lap feature win Sunday at Dubuque Speedway.
Callahan took the lead near midway and held off Tyler Madigan at the checkers.
Troy Bauer followed up a feature win at Farley Speedway on Friday night with another victory in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. Bauer took the win over always tough Tyler Soppe.
Sunday, June 10will be Fan Appreciation night at Dubuque with everything half price, including admission and all concessions. In addition, a pre-race car show will be held beginning at 4:30 p.m. All kids will be given autograph books courtesy of the Richardson Motors Kids Club. Drivers will have cars on display and will be signing autographs prior to the races.

Jason Schueller served notice that winning the track championship in 2017 was only incentive to repeat in the very tough IMCA Modified division. Schueller drove his new Rage chassis to the 20-lap feature win ahead of Mark Schulte and Tyler Madigan. Scott Busch used his front row start to his advantage in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and earned the opening night feature win. Busch led flag to flag in scoring the win ahead of Jerry Miles and Tyler Soppe.
INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – A Deery Brothers Summer Series doubleheader is on the docket this weekend, as the 33rd annual tour for IMCA Late Models travels to Independence Motor Speedway and Dubuque Speedway. A top prize of $2,000 is on the line Saturday, April 27 at Independence while the winner of the Sunday, April 28 Hershel Roberts/Ray Guss Sr. Memorial at Dubuque goes home with $2,500. Both features pay a minimum of $300 to start. The Sunday show was rescheduled after a mid-April twinbill at Maquoketa and Dubuque was lost to unseasonable weather. The 492nd event in series history takes Deery drivers and fans to Independence for the 30th time. Pit gates and the grandstand open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. with racing to follow. DUBUQUE, Iowa (Feb. 6, 2024) – IMCA Sunoco Late Models will have three opportunities to take home $2,500 this season in Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway’s Key City Challenge. Late Model features on Sundays, April 28, June 23 and Aug. 18 all tote big checks for drivers pre-registered by April 28. “This was an idea one of our Late Model drivers, Luke Merfeld, had.
