MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Four sanctioned divisions are on the card for the Friday, Sept. 1 Showdown at Motown, with IMCA Modifieds running for $1,000 to win and a spot on the 2018 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods both vie for $500 to win while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks chase a top check of $300.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded.
Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and free for kids 10 and under. Pit passes are $30.
Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:50 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.
