VINTON, Iowa (June 14, 2026) — Between the annual candy dash and the racing, the action was sweet at Benton County Speedway. It was especially sweet for Tony Olson, who swept both the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car and Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod features Sunday night.

Olson’s second trip to victory lane came in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Dustin Filloon grabbed the early lead before Olson worked the high groove to take command. Kyle Olson moved into contention while John Oliver Jr. climbed into the top three. Once out front, Olson steadily stretched his advantage as Oliver advanced into second.

The Cedar Rapids driver raced to his fourth EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season, with two of those wins coming at Benton County Speedway. Oliver finished second, followed by Filloon, Kyle Olson, and Adam Streeter.

Earlier in the evening, Olson moved to the front early in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature and never looked back. As Olson pulled away, Will Wolf, Brady Hilmer, and Ben Chapman battled for position behind him. Chapman eventually secured second while Austin Kemp worked into fourth. Olson navigated lapped traffic over the closing laps and cruised to the victory.

The win was Olson’s second SportMod triumph of the season, with both coming at Benton County Speedway. Chapman finished second, Hilmer was third, Kemp fourth, and Kyle Olson rounded out the top five.

Braaksma Charges From Ninth for Modified Victory

Ethan Braaksma put together one of the strongest drives of the night in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature.

Jacob Snyder led the early circuits while Braaksma and Troy Cordes battled for second. A caution flag tightened the field and allowed Braaksma to seize control on the restart.

From there, the Newton driver pulled away to score his third victory of 2026. The win came in his third different IMCA region this season and was his first in the Razor Chassis North Central Region.

Snyder finished second after starting on the pole, while Andrew Hamburg advanced from 10th to third. Rayce Mullen and Jerry Dedrick completed the top five.

Weepie Prevails in Competitive Hobby Stock Feature

The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks put on one of the evening’s most entertaining races, with multiple drivers battling three- and four-wide throughout the field.

Dalton Weepie took the early lead before Tucker Richardson worked past him. Justin Stander and Justin Wacha joined the battle for the runner-up position while Matt Brown charged forward.

With only a few laps remaining, Weepie regained the lead and held on for the victory.

The Dunkerton driver earned his third B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region win of the season, with victories coming at three different tracks. Stander finished second after starting ninth, Wacha was third, Brown fourth, and Brandon Beyer advanced from 16th to fifth.

Randall Breaks Through in Sport Compact Action

Stephen Randall delivered a hometown victory in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature.

Adam Gates led the opening laps while Randall worked his way forward from fifth. After getting around Drew Stanek for third, Randall tracked down Gates and eventually took over the top spot.

Once in command, the Vinton driver pulled away to secure his first win of the season.

Lukas Rick charged from ninth to second, Cristian Grady advanced from 10th to third, Gates finished fourth, and Stanek completed the top five.
