WYSOX, Pa. (Dec. 13, 2025) — The Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Insinger Performance held its annual points banquet Saturday evening at the Wysox Volunteer Fire Department, celebrating the 2025 season and recognizing top performers throughout the year.
Series promoter and DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Eastern Region director Jake Maynard, along with series announcer Morgan Colegrove, led the evening’s program as awards were presented to the top-ten drivers in points and several special honorees.
Dalton Maynard received the Evan Canfield Best Appearing Car Award presented by M.R. Graphix, while A.J. Hunsinger earned Most Improved Driver honors. Earl Zimmer was named Series Rookie of the Year, and Tyler Belcher took home the Billy Maynard Sportsman Award. Matthew Hayes, car owner of the no. 943 Modified, was recognized with the Ron Lias Crew Chief of the Year Award. Keith Lamphere received the Sean Lias Driver of the Year Award.
Lamphere was also officially crowned the 2025 Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series champion, edging Zimmer by eight points in the final standings. During the eight-race season, Lamphere collected two Close Racing Supply feature wins, five Lacey Maryott Century 21 Signature Properties heat race victories, six top-five finishes, and two additional top-ten results.
The 2025 campaign marked a series record fifth season for the NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series, which saw 42 different drivers compete throughout the year. Series officials are already at work preparing for the 2026 season, with schedule details to be announced.
