Shatzer Sails to Fast Friday Win At Dixieland

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (Jun. 20, 2025) — Dylan Shatzer made the trip to the shore worthwhile, driving the Al Moser-owned sprinter to both a heat race win and the feature victory Friday at Dixieland Speedway with the Virginia Sprint Series.

Shatzer and Aaron Leach brought the field to green with Shatzer grabbing the early lead. Leach and Jerald Harris tucked in behind as the fast and smooth surface allowed the laps to click off quickly. Chris Humblet worked his way into fourth while Matt Mullins, Matthew Leach, and Caleb Harris battled for fifth at halfway.

Caleb Harris found speed in a new groove and moved into fourth, with Humblet staying strong in fifth and Mullins edging by Bolac for sixth. As the race wound down, the leaders began to catch the tail of the field, but the pace never slowed. Shatzer remained flawless, flashing under the checkered flag to win the caution-free main event.

At the stripe, it was Shatzer for the win, followed by Aaron Leach in second and Jerald Harris in third to complete the podium.

Hendershot takes opener at Natural Bridge

(April 13, 2024) – On a windy and sunny day, Donnie Hendershot flew like the to finish first in the season opening race for the Virginia Sprint Series at Natural Bridge Speedway. Hendershot and Jerald Harris paced the Saturday night IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car field to green. Hendershot used the low line to gain the lead with Harris staying high while John Scarborough used the low line and was on Harris quickly. Scarborough made it to second as Hendershot continued out front and with the laps winding down, traffic was coming up and that allowed Scarborough to close in. With the white flag waving, Scarborough was within striking distance as he made the final push but Hendershot stayed strong streaking under the waving checkered flag. Harris wires the Bridge for Virginia Sprint Series win

(July 14) – After numerous top five finishes this year, Tony Harris got the lead on lap one and wired the Virginia Sprint Series feature at Natural Bridge Speedway for his first win of the season. Bill Rice and Chris Ware paced the Saturday IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car field to green but Harris quickly swept low and to the front. Mike Leraas worked on Rice for second as Harris cruised up front. Shatzer Storms to Win at Hagerstown

By Jim Haines HAGERSTOWN, MD (Apr. 19, 2025) — Starting out as a warm spring race night, Dylan Shatzer took Al Moser’s sprinter to the top spot and stayed there in the 25-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature at Hagerstown Speedway. The co-sanctioned event between the Virginia Sprint Series and Laurel Highlands Sprint Series marked the 2025 season opener for the Virginia tour and showcased Shatzer’s dominance on the historic Maryland half-mile. As storms were on the way the feature started with Kolby Weaver and Colton Hindershot pacing the field to green, Weaver stayed high as Shatzer dove to the inside rail and was already going for the lead off turn four as he crossed the line just in front of Weaver and Donnie Hendershot. Three divisions crowned champions following intense competition in the Pacific Northwest. Andersen Rockets from 13th to Eagle Stock Car Glory in Late-Race Thriller

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (June 21, 2025) — The Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature’s initial start at Eagle Raceway was negated when Roger Elliot spun in turn four. On the restart, Tommy Etherton took the early lead, with Cash Beckman, Mike Scheinost and Jakob Boucher giving chase. Scott Carlson jumped past both Scheinost and Boucher on lap two to grab third, while Mason Richards moved into fourth on lap four. Lap ten saw Kyle Vanover vault into the top four, climbing to third. A caution with eight to go reset the field with a double file restart. That’s when Chad Andersen made his move, charging from 13th to second.
