SHAWANO, Wis. (May 3, 2025) — The Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods kicked off feature action with one of the night’s most intense races at Shawano Speedway, where a steady Friday night rain had soaked the infield and left a heavy layer of clay on the legendary half-mile. Thanks to diligent work from the track crew throughout Saturday, the surface was race-ready by nightfall—and Jeffery Teske was ready to capitalize.
Teske surged into the lead on lap 2, getting around Michael Springborn early and building a comfortable cushion. That advantage would be tested late as Cole Magnin carved his way into contention, but each time he prepared to make a move, lapped traffic slowed his momentum. Teske held strong through the pressure to secure his first win of the season. Magnin finished second, followed by J.J. Vanderloop in third
Nolan Repeats in Stock Car Season Opener
In Sunoco IMCA Stock Car action, it was business as usual for defending track champion Trent Nolan. Nolan took command from the outset and paced the field through the first green-flag run until a lap 8 caution regrouped the pack.
Unfazed, Nolan powered away again after the restart and then again following a second caution that brought Devin Snellenberger to his rear bumper. Snellenberger made several bids in the closing laps, but Nolan proved too strong, earning his first win of 2025 in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Snellenberger and Dan Michonski rounded out the podium.
Seegert Controls Modified Main
The Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds wrapped up the evening with a relatively smooth feature, led wire-to-wire by Joel Seegert. Seegert started on the front row and quickly established control of the race, though challenges loomed behind him.
Lucas Lamberies, who suffered early issues, made a spirited charge through the field to reach second by lap 7. While he showed speed, he couldn’t reel in Seegert, who stayed clean through traffic to take the checkered flag, his first win in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Lamberies was runner-up, with Jordan Bartz taking third.
