BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4, 2024) – Another IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, another record number of cars. With Modifieds and Stock Cars beginning qualifying today at Boone Speedway, car count for the 42nd annual Super Nationals is at 1,032, up from 1,017 last year, 1,000 in 2022 and 909 in 2021. “We’re just going to keep building on what makes IMCA racers want to race here,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “This place hits the mark on everything drivers want, starting with a really racy track and all the other details that go with it, like the format and pit parking.” “Boone is a very, very competitive track. We added more dirt this year and continue to put the focus on where it needs to be,” he emphasized. “The event staff that makes up Super Nationals has been doing this a long time and really helps make the entire week America’s Racing Vacation.” Three divisional records have been established this year with 264 Stock Cars, 168 Hobby Stocks and 78 STARS Mod Lites. Also seeing action over the course of the Sept. 2-7 Super Nationals at Iowa’s Action Track will be 223 Modifieds, 176 Northern SportMods, 84 Sport Compacts and 39 Late Models. Those cars come from 30 states, equaling the mark set last year, two Canadian provinces and Australia. Three champions have already been crowned, Riley Clem of Wildersville, Tenn., in the Mod Lites, Dylan Thornton of Belle Plaine in the Late Models and Brad Chandler of Cedar Rapids in the Sport Compacts. Clem and Thornton are both California natives; Thornton was the Stock Car champion at Super Nationals last year and Chandler had been runner-up to brother Nathan in the 2011 Sport Compact event at Boone. Championship Night for the Modifieds, Stock Cars, Northern SportMods and Hobby Stocks is Saturday, Sept. 7.

As of 1 p.m. Friday, drivers from 25 states and Canada have confirmed that they’ll be part of the premier dirt track racing event on the planet. Entries for the 39th annual America’s Racin’ Vacation® Sept. 6-11 at Boone Speedway now include 206 Modifieds, 176 Stock Cars, 134 Northern SportMods, 107 Hobby Stocks, 51 Sport Compacts and 37 STARS Mod Lites. Fast Shafts All-Star eligible list adds 15 despite wet May
VINTON, Iowa (May 31, 2024) – Flood gates of another kind opened despite a wet month of May, as another 15 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers became eligible to qualify for the upcoming Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Checkers flew for Tripp Gaylord at Stuart Speedway’s Blackberry Brandy Brawl. Holiday winners were Tyson Blood at Grays Harbor Raceway’s Modified Clash, Andrew Pearce at Southern Oregon Speedway’s R. Charles Snyder Salute, Bobby Hogge at Stockton Dirt Track’s Al Miller Memorial and Matt Werner in the Memorial Day Madness show at Davenport Speedway. Drake Findley and Brint Hartwick ventured to Oklahoma and Texas, respectively, to top All Star Shootout features. Drivers who won weekly races paying $1,000 or more included Tyler Allen, Jarrett Brown, Cole Czarneski, Shane DeMey, Kyle Heckman, Drew Janssen, Austin Kuehl and Randy McDaniel. VINTON, Iowa (Feb. 26, 2024) – A flurry of early season specials saw eight IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers race their respective ways to B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying contention. Bo Partain won four Ernie Mincy Early Thaw features and an Arizona IMCA Tour event over the span of just 28 days. Other Early Thaw winners at Central Arizona Raceway were Brock Beeter, Trent Grager and Ken Schrader. Thomas Hall Jr. topped the Ice Breaker at Abilene Speedway before the Arizona IMCA Tour resumed and wins went to Larry Brigner, Ryan Roath and Brad Whitfield.
