MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 8, 2024) – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for a top prize of $5,000 at one of the richest specials event of the early season, Marshalltown Speedway’s April 11 and 12 King of the High Banks.
The winner is guaranteed a starting spot in the upcoming B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational and taking the green flag in the main event is good for a minimum of $500. Presented by Drury Automotive and Truck Repair of Eldora, the spring special also features complete shows for five other IMCA divisions each night.
Entry fee for The Class Too Tough to Tame is $125 is paid by April 9 or $150 at the gate. Stock Car qualifying gets under way on Thursday, with last-chance races and the main event on the Friday card.
Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win on Thursday, $1,500 to win on Friday and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility both nights. Entry fee is $20 Thursday and $50 Friday.
IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Friesen Performance Northern SportMods run for $500 to win, Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites for $300 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 on Thursday, when there is no entry fee for any of those divisions.
On Friday, Hobby Stocks and SportMod run for $1,000 to win with a $30 entry, Mod Lites for $750 to win with a $25 entry and Sport Compacts for $500 with a $20 entry.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Iowa State points will be awarded,
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:30-9:30 p.m. open practice Wednesday, April 10. Pit passes are $25 and grandstand admission is free.
Pits open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6:45 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, veterans and students ages 11-17, while kids ages 10 and under get in free when accompanying a paid adult.
Pit passes are $35 for adults and $20 for kids ages 3-12. Camping is available for $20 a night or $60 for the duration of the event.
