2025 Super Nationals

Entry deadline for Prelude set for midnight Thursday, August 28

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 27, 2025) – While record entries for the 43rd annual Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s continue to roll in, drivers wishing to run the Prelude to Super Nationals must be pre-entered for Super Nationals by midnight, Thursday, August 28, to be eligible to compete in this weekend’s event. The Thursday night deadline also applies to eligible drivers planning to compete in their respective Race of Champions qualifiers and All-Star Invitational events. The entry deadline does not apply to the main Super Nationals events. Registration will remain open for drivers seeking to qualify for their Big Dance. The deadline also does not apply to Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite drivers as their Super Nationals champion is crowned during Prelude weekend. Overall, entries currently stand at 1,107, including drivers from 33 states, Canada and Australia. A complete pre-entry list will be released sometime during the day Friday, August 29. === Due to many questions, here is to clarify pre-entry: If you are pre-entered for Super Nationals by midnight tomorrow night, August [Read More]

Appelt Outduels Field to Capture Inaugural $4,000-to-Win Bonnie Beeter Memorial at Nodak

By Ben Deatherage MINOT, N.D. (Aug. 24, 2025) — Caden Appelt of Minot pocketed $4,000 in the 40-lap Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature at Nodak Speedway, winning the inaugural Bonnie Beeter Memorial. The victory was his 11th of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region, with eight of those coming at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds 3/8-mile oval. Appelt got the jump from his third-place starting position to lead the opening lap, but 2022 Estevan Motor Speedway champion Kaden Tuchscherer quickly applied pressure on the high side. Tuchscherer took the point on lap 12 following several laps of side-by-side battling with Appelt, whose preferred low line eventually gave way. The two checked out from the field and resumed their duel again by lap 22. A lap-23 caution reset the field, and Appelt regained the lead on lap 28 with a slider in turn two. Two-time Nebraska State champion Travis Landauer closed in with a run on the bottom, while 2022 McLean County Speedway champion Trever Haas battled him for second. That fight allowed Appelt [Read More]

Shryock Dominates Stock Cars at Algona; Adds to Big Season Tally

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (Aug. 21, 2025) — The Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Kossuth County Speedway for the Jade Lange Memorial brought 17 cars to the track, with pole sitter Kelly Shryock showing once again why he’s been the class of the field all year. Shryock jumped out front at the start and controlled the pace until a lap-12 yellow slowed things. After a complete restart, cautions for Mike Albertsen’s spin and a small fire under Colby Fett’s hood briefly delayed the action, but none of it rattled Shryock. He powered away to his eighth victory of the year at Kossuth County Speedway, and his 19th in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region for 2025. Kevin Opheim was runner-up, followed by Chad Palmer, Devin Tripp, and Calvin Lange. Tripp picked up the hard charger honors, improving seven positions. Shryock’s season dominance also locked down the track championship with a commanding 62-point margin.
