WACO, Texas (June 22, 2023) – IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers will get an extra shot at winning more green at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s June 30-July 1 Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial.
Saturday night’s main event winner earns $5,000 and a guaranteed starting spot in the upcoming B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational.
What’s new at the fourth annual special is a buy-back race to fill the final two starters in that race.
Passing points earned in Friday night heats will determine starting grids for two qualifying features, with the top five finishers in each locked into the big show.
Two Saturday ‘B’ races will be lined up based on Friday feature finishes and six more cars advance from each.
Non-qualified drivers can then pay another $50 to enter the buy-back race, with first and second-place drivers joining the main event grid. The winner will draw to determine where those two cars start between rows six and 12.
Buy-back race entry fees will be added to the $17,000-plus main event purse, which already guarantees a minimum of $300 to start. Runner-up pay is $2,500 with $1,500 for third and $1,000 for fourth.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region and Texas State points will be awarded on Saturday. Registration fee paid on or before June 30 is $50. Drivers racing Saturday pay $100.
Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods are on both race night cards at Waco, along with the best fireworks show in the state on Friday.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m., the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. and hot laps precede 8 p.m. racing on Friday. Pits are open all day Saturday, the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and hot laps precede racing at 7 p.m.
Pit passes are $35. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, military and students, kids ages 7-12 are $5 and six and under are free. More information is available on the track website and on Facebook.
