Green flag flies Wednesday for IMCA Central California Clash 

ANTIOCH, Calif. (May 1, 2023) – Wednesday night is opening night for the fourth annual IMCA Central California Clash. 

Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $750 to win and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star qualifying eligibility, and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods for $750 to win each night of the May 3-7 tour. 

Following the opening night show at Antioch Speedway are dates Thursday, May 4 at Merced Speedway; Friday, May 5 at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford; Saturday, May 6 at Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway; and Sunday, May 7 at Bakersfield Speedway.

IMCA.TV broadcasts each night of the tour and the top drivers in point standings for each division also become eligible to qualify for their respective race of champions event during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Shaw Race Cars Western Region and EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region and California State points will be awarded all five nights.

Pit passes are $45 each night. Entry fee for all divisions is $25 a night or $100 for the week if paid on opening night.

Antioch opens the pit gates at noon on Wednesday. Hot laps are at 4:30 p.m. and racing is set for 6 p.m. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, military and kids, and free for five and under.

Pits are open all day Thursday at Merced, with pit pass sales starting at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. and the first green flag flies at 7 p.m. Admission to the grandstand is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, military and juniors. Kids under 10 get in free.

At Hanford, pits open at 2 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing is at 6 p.m. Spectator tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, military and juniors; kids five and under are free.

Tulare opens the pits at 2 p.m. with 5:30 p.m. hot laps and racing at 6:30 p.m. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, $10 for kids ages 6-12 and five and under are free. 

And at Bakersfield, the pits open at 2 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Spectator admission is $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and military, $10 for kids ages 6-12 and free for kids ages five and under.
