MSD marks milestone in 20th season as IMCA sponsor 

EL PASO, Texas (April 13, 2023) – MSD marks its 20th sponsorship season with IMCA in 2023, renewing awards program for both weekly racing and Super Nationals competitors. 

The El Paso, Texas, manufacturer, a brand of the Holley family of companies, continues product credit awards based on regional standings for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, and on national standings for IMCA Sunoco Late Models, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods. 

“Holley is dedicated to motorsports of all kinds and we see value in supporting sanctioning bodies such as IMCA. With our MSD sponsorship, we provide racers with support for their achievements which helps the growth of Circle Track racing,” said MSD Circle Track Sales Manager Graham Fordyce. “Being involved with grassroots motorsports by supporting IMCA helps to provide racers a place to compete and gives MSD the opportunity to get feedback to improve the products Holley and MSD offer.” 

Top three drivers in each of the five Modified regions and in both Stock Car regions, and in national Late Model, Sprint Car and Northern and Southern SportMod standings receive product credit certificates valued at $200, $100 and $100, respectively.  

MSD also returns to the decal program for Stock Cars and drivers in that division are required to display two MSD decals on their race cars to be eligible for national and regional point fund shares. 

Top three finishers in main events for Modifieds, Late Models, Stock Cars and Northern SportMods at the 41st annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s all earn product awards for their efforts. 

The Modified champion earns a digital control box, HVC coil and super conductor wire set, with the runner-up getting a digital control box and the third place driver a super conductor wire set. 

Champion in the Late Models gets a digital control box and super conductor wire set, the runner-up gets a control box and the third place driver a super conductor wire set. 

The Stock Car champion receives a distributor and super conductor wire set, the runner-up a distributor and the third place driver a super conductor wire set. And the Northern SportMod champion gets a rev limiter and super conductor wire set, and both second and third-place drivers a super conductor wire set.
