IMCA Stock Cars are headliner at US 30’s inaugural Governor’s Cup

COLUMBUS, Neb. (Aug. 28, 2022) – Abe’s US 30 Speedway hosts the inaugural Governor’s Cup special, with IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars racing for $2,000 to win their Thursday, Sept. 1 main event. 

The B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifier is also the next installment in the Stock Car Crown Summer Series and pays a minimum of $200 to start. Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods run for $1,000 to win and $150 to start, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win and $50 to start.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and state points will be awarded, with Stock Cars earning series points as well. 

Registration fee is $20 for Stock Cars and Northern SportMods. There is no registration charge for the Hobby Stocks. 

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing at 8 p.m. Spectator admission is $15 for adults and free for kids ages 11 and under. 

Pit passes are $30.
