IMCA King of the Highbanks postponed, Marshalltown to host Friday Season Preview

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 13, 2022) – Less than favorable weather forecasts have forced Karl Auto Group Marshalltown Speedway track officials to postpone the $5,000 to win King of the Highbanks special for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. 

Practice was originally scheduled tonight (Wednesday) with King of the Highbanks programs Thursday and Friday. 

While the practice and Thursday show are off, the April 15 program has been rebranded as the Friday Season Preview

Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars both run for $1,000 to win along with Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, respectively.

IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods both run for $400 top checks, IMCA STARS Mod Lites and Mach-1 Sport Compacts both for $250 to win. 

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded. Pit pages open at 5:15 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:55 p.m. and racing is at 7:30 p.m.

Pit passes are $30. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and free for ages six and under. 

First track points of 2022 at Marshalltown will be awarded at the Ryan Ashton Racing season opener on Friday, April 22. 

New dates for the King of the High Banks will be announced.
