One night isn’t enough for Prelude at Boone

2021 Super Nationals, Saturday-Sunday, September 4-5, 2021 Prelude

BOONE, Iowa – It’s become an event so big that one night isn’t enough. 

Boone Speedway’s Prelude special leading into the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s splits into two days, Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 5. 

Complete shows for Modifieds and Stock Cars, along with qualifying for the STARS Mod Lites are on the Saturday card.

Northern SportMods, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts run complete shows on Sunday, along with the race of champions, qualifying races and main event for Mod Lites. 

Non-competing divisions will be allowed to hot lap both nights. 

“As a one-day event, the Prelude had one of the single largest daily car counts of the week simply because of the number of divisions on the race night card,” explained IMCA President Brett Root, noting the 412 cars that competed in the 2020 event. “Making the Prelude two days and getting shows done earlier each night just makes it easier for everyone involved.”

The Mod Lite main event pays $2,000 to win; purses for the other five divisions are to be announced.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded to Modifieds, Stock Cars, Northern SportMods, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts. Modifieds earn Side Biter Chassis North Central Region points, Stock Cars EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region points and Hobby Stocks Big Daddy Race Cars Northern Region points. 

Pit gates open at 1 p.m. with registration running through 4 p.m. and racing at 5 p.m. both days. Pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission is $20.

IMCA.TV broadcasts both nights of the Prelude.

Record 1,004 pre-entries for 40th annual IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 2, 2022) – The records continue to fall before the first green flag of the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s even waves. Priceless championships, big checks earned at IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – Championships won at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s are priceless. The checks that come with those titles will be almost as good. More than $300,000 will be paid out to competitors at the 39th annual Super Nationals with another $60,000-plus in contingencies awarded to Modified, Late Model, Stock Car, Northern SportMod, STARS Mod Lite, Hobby Stock and Sport Compact drivers.  STARS Mod Lites crown the division’s first Super Nationals champion on Sunday, Sept. 5, in a $2,000 to win main event on night two of the Prelude at Boone Speedway. B & B All-Star eligible list adds 15

VINTON, Iowa (July 14, 2023) – Another 15 IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers have secured eligibility for B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying. Those doing so by winning weekly sanctioned events paying $750 and upwards were Steffan Carey, Tommy Fain, Dalton Flory, Miciah Hidlebaugh, Dillon Lawrence and Nick Strobbe. Winners on the Midwest Madness Tour were Jeffrey Larson, Justin Luinenburg, Tim Rupp and Jake Sachau. Justin Erickson and Luke Silber had first place finishes at Freedom Nationals. Will Scheresky topped Nodak Speedway’s Too Dark Fireworks special and Rob VanVil and Brendon LaBatte claimed IMCA.TV Dakota Classic Tour triumphs.
