Priceless championships, big checks earned at IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – Championships won at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s are priceless.

The checks that come with those titles will be almost as good.

More than $300,000 will be paid out to competitors at the 39th annual Super Nationals with another $60,000-plus in contingencies awarded to Modified, Late Model, Stock Car, Northern SportMod, STARS Mod Lite, Hobby Stock and Sport Compact drivers. 

STARS Mod Lites crown the division’s first Super Nationals champion on Sunday, Sept. 5, in a $2,000 to win main event on night two of the Prelude at Boone Speedway.

Late Models run for $3,000 to win in the Labor Day program headliner while Sport Compacts chase a $1,000 top check in their Tuesday, Sept. 7 main event.

Four champions will be crowned on Saturday, Sept. 11, with the Modified main event paying $7,000 to win and a minimum of $1,000 to start the 33-car field.

Winner of the Stock Car main event earns $5,000. The Northern SportMod main event pays $3,000 to win, the big dance for Hobby Stocks $2,000.

Modified drivers racing each night Wednesday through Satur­day are guaranteed a minimum of $300; Stock Car drivers are guaranteed a minimum of $200 if they race Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

All purse money is posted and paid, at the main pit shack, each night of Super Nationals. Drivers must present their Super Nationals ID card to pick up money.

Unclaimed purse shares will be mailed beginning the next week from the IMCA home office.
