United Rebel Sprint Series kicks off 2021 season at 81 Speedway

WICHITA, Kan. – The Drive to Zero POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing is slated to kick off its 16th season this Saturday, April 17.

IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Competitors will head to 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kan., for the first race of a brimming 32-event schedule in 2021. Racing starts at 7 p.m. 

Heading into a fresh season, competition is slated to be at its best in 2021. Coming off a slow start and off-schedule year due to restrictions throughout the country last year, the United Rebel Sprint Series looks ahead to the $1,000 to win season opener on Saturday. Under new ownership last year, 81 Speedway’s track surface has been excellent and provides some of the best racing in the state and a great field of cars is slated.

The series has partnered with the Drive to Zero program to offer a $5,000 pay day to the 2021 United Rebel Sprint Series Champion. 

The Drive to Zero program was built with one goal in mind, to reduce fatalities and serious injuries that occur on Kansas highways. The program is designated to target child passenger safety, impaired driving, textin, and seat belt violations.

United Rebel Sprint Series partners with Drive to Zero program

OBERLIN, Kan. – The United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing has partnered with the Kansas Department of Transportation’s highway safety program “Drive to Zero” as the title sponsor for the 2021 season. URSS set to invade RPM Speedway for Sunflower Classic

HAYS, Kan. – The Mel Hambelton Ford Racing POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series will invade RPM Speedway this Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14 for the Mike Hughes Memorial Sun­flower Classic in Hays, Kan.  This race, originally scheduled for late March, is expected to draw a great field of cars as racing has opened back up in the state of Kansas. With this being the first two day show for the traveling IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car series and paying $1,000 to win both days, cars from Kansas, Colo­rado, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas are expected to attend.   After two previous outings in Salina and Wichita, the point battle is heating up and this year prom­ises to be extremely competitive. Salem Memorial highlights weekend for United Rebel Sprint Series

STOCKTON, Kan. – The United Rebel Sprint Series braces for a huge, three-race weekend with the annual Bob Salem Memorial highlighting all the race action. It all begins Friday, Aug. 17 at Stockton Speedway before embarking to Oberlin Speedway Satur­day and Sunday, Aug. 18-19. It will be a pivotal weekend for the series points standings as just five events remain in the 2018 race season. Friday night’s IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car event atop the Stockton Fairgrounds will pay $700 to win. Gates open at 5 p.m. with race action slated for a 7:00 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday night for the annual running of the Bob Salem Memorial, the Saturday night’s portion of the event will pay $700 to win while Sunday night pays $1,000 to win. Grand­stand admission is $15 for adults, kids ages 7-12 are $8 and children six and under admitted into the grandstands for free.
