Five IMCA divisions battle this weekend at Buena Vista Raceway

ALTA, Iowa – Shares of a purse that totals more than $30,000 are at stake this weekend, when five IMCA divisions battle it out at Buena Vista Raceway’s inaugural Battle at the Beaver.

The Sept. 18-19 special sees IMCA Modifieds race for $700 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $500, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks both for $400 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win on opening night of the draw/redraw doubleheader.

Modifieds run for a top prize of $1,000 plus a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth on Saturday; Stocks, SportMods and Hobby Stocks also run for $1,000 to win, Sport Compacts for $300.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded both nights.

Weekend entry fees are $25 for Modifieds, Stock Cars, Northern SportMods and Hobby Stocks, $10 for Sport Compacts. Pit passes are $30 for adults, $15 for ages 6-10 and free for ages five and under.

Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5 p.m., the drivers’ meeting is at 7 p.m. and racing follows 7:15 p.m. hot laps.

Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $10 for veterans, seniors 65 and over and students ages 13-18, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for active military and youngsters five and under.

A Thursday, Sept. 17 practice runs from 7-9 p.m. Pit passes are $15 while general admission is free.

New promoter will keep building on solid IMCA foundation at Buena Vista Raceway

ALTA, Iowa – With a firm midweek foundation in place, new promoter Trent Chinn plans to keep building on to the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing program at Buena Vista Raceway. Chinn takes over the Wednesday night speedplant at Alta, sanctioned by IMCA for 30-plus seasons. “This track really started to come back to its glory days under (previous promoter) Joey Ciechanowski,” said Chinn, who saw much of the country while crewing for Tim Ward and Ricky Thornton Jr. “This is already a very nice facility. Smith starts new Kyle Suter Memorial win streak

ALTA, Iowa (July 3) – David Smith started a new streak Wednesday night at Buena Vista Raceway. Smith led the last eight circuits in topping the Kyle Suter Memorial for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars at Alta. He’s now won the event “eight or nine times,” including a streak of five in a row from 2013-2017. “This is always a good one to win,” said Smith, who banked $1,500 following the victory, also the fourth installment of the Arnold Motor Supply Midwest Madness Tour. “It’s getting harder to win any more. The competition is so good.” Pole starter Brian Blessington led early before giving way to Smith’s brother Devin. Baca Dominates IMCA Modified Opener at Ernie Mincy Memorial Early Thaw

Casa Grande, ARIZONA (January 23, 2025) — Chaz Baca Jr. added another victory to his already amazing 2025 season, dominating the IMCA Modified main event on the opening night of the Ernie Mincy Memorial Early Thaw at Central Arizona Raceway. The two-time defending IMCA National champion and reigning Western Region, Arizona State, and Central Arizona Raceway titleholder led all twenty laps in a commanding performance. Baca, hailing from Mesa, seized the lead from the drop of the green flag and worked to build a comfortable margin. Jet Racing celebrates 28 years of IMCA sponsorship

**BEATRICE, Neb. (January 22, 2025)** – Jet Racing celebrates its 28th year as an IMCA marketing partner and 14th as the title sponsor of the Central Region for Modifieds. Top 10 drivers in the official 2025 point standings for the region, which includes tracks in Arkansas, eastern Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, will share a $6,000 point fund, with the champion earning $2,500.
